Better, hate how small the feet the lower legs are on the TRO art.

Yeah. Same.  The original art wasn't as bad, but one hing I've noticed with Matt's redesigns is a lo of stuff got really top heavy, with the legs being inexplicably short at times.

I've been doing 'mechs long enough to recognize a mix of styles in this one.

The bit that really stuck out were the lasers on the arms. That looks a lot like how Alex did them on the Red Hunter design (and a few others). I'm getting a bit of a Zaku vibe from the legs, though they are also close to the legs of the standard Clan Elemental. The cockpit has the classic Highlander look to it. And the torso reminds me of something out of Armored Trooper VOTOM.

Well, aside from re-proportioning, they are all pretty much the lines from the TRO.  Also, Gunslinger has Gauss in the arms.  Only real changes I made were to proportions, and I used MWO style weapons.

It's fairly close to the original art from Technical Readout 3055 of the Gunslinger. It hasn't been in MWO so that's why it draws so many inspirations.

I forgot the Gunslinger was an official design. Makes sense with the round-about inspirational design choices considering I've seen Matt Plog (the original artist) draw from other sources as well.

Actually Matt wasn't the original artist.   IIRC it was by Dana Knutson, who also did the TRO 2750.  When Plog was commissioned to "upgrade" the art in TRO 3055 Upgrade, he did a pretty good job overall, since it appears he was pretty much constrained to keep them true to the original art.  His Gunslinger did seem to have it's legs shrunk a bit by Matt, though.

Was Knutson used for the card game art? Since I don't have the source books (I donated all 200+ of my collection), the only pics I found on Sarna and they're using Plog's rendition.
