ARM-C1A1 Cuchulainn*

the original C1 Chchulainn was a joint Wolf in Exile/Kell Hound Support Armor, built at the Arc-Royal Mechworks and WC Site 2.

A well armored Medium Support unit, it is protected by .42 tons of Improved Stealth Armor, and maintain a ground speed of 22 kph. It has no jump jets, and is equipped with basic manipulators, limiting it's effectiveness as an anti-mech unit.

Offensively, it carries a detachable clan spec Extended Range Mdium Pulse Laser, providing unprecedented punch for a Battle Armor. While attached, it cuts the ground speed of the Cuchulainn in half, so it is jettisoned after it's 11 shots are depleted, allowing the stealthy armor to fade away.

This all sounds good, so why is there an A1, especaillyone that appears to be built to identical specs? The reality is a 1500 kg armor suit trying to swing a 600kg laser around like a pistol not only severly unbalanced the unit, but cause extreme wear and failure in the left arm actuator package, with at least one instance of the structure failing catastrophically, and the sheer weight crudely amputating the arm of the soldier inside.

To combat this, the detachable mount was redesigned along the lines of the detachable backpack of a basic Elemental suit, and is fired from over the right shoulder like a traditional heavy weapon. the lower legs and feet were also redesigned to add more weight to help counterblance against the weight of the pack itself. Both these measure have fixed the issue and will liekly be the standard model, going forward.

*Truth is, I love the overall look of Plog's design, though the legs feel a bit imcomplete compared to the rest. But the ginormous, Final Fantasy meets TriGun madness of the way it carries it's ER Medium Pluse Laser. IMO it's so over the top rdidiculous as to border on.. just being silly. But I liked the overall design of the gun itself, and so used the Rifts Glitterboy armor design as inspiration as to how to "fix" it. So this is a quick rough sketch of my diea.
The actual sketch is about 3 inches tall, hence the real thick and clunky line work.
