A very powerful piece nicely complimented with an equally powerful title and poem.

I'm drawn to this photo!
The brown tone (a filter?)... the poem... it is just perfect!

Not to sound weird or anything, but this guy really looks like Marcus Wesson.
I like the semi-sepia tone; makes it look as though he's blending into the world and becoming...well, the title of this photo.

All that I do to get the textures for a picture like this are part of the Photoshop program...grain, cloud filter, curves, levels, shadow and highlights...mostly things like that.
I had never heard of draganizer before you mentioned it. But I looked it up on Google and it looks very interesting!
Thank you much!

Thank you much! I just wish he would have looked to the camera. On the other hand, I understand he was trying to get money from passers by.

Life is cruel...and when you feel invisible...things can turn ugly. Unfortunately social skills are about the first thing that gets thrown out the window.
It's frustrating because I realize that in this century these are repeated events with no lessons ever learned.
I once spoke to someone who grew up in Somalia and he said something I'll never forget,
"Where I grew up, loneliness is a foreign concept." Meaning there was room for everyone, and everyone felt like they had a purpose.

I hear you. A friend told me the same thing about her trip to Cuba. She said there is no homeless problem - as folks who find themselves without a place to live tend to be invited into someone's home.
Life can be cruel, I agree. This man, in spite of his gigantic stature was very soft spoken, pleasant and clear voiced. I felt a little strange about shooting him doing what he was doing. But I felt it important to capture his unique grace, beauty and dignity in spite of his immediate circumstance.

that reminds me of a quotation:
"If I give food to a poor they call me a saint,
if I ask why the poor have no food they call me a communist..."

Culturally and pictorially...great contrasts. This is a guy with millions of desperate soul mates all over the world....and we let poverty (or more to the point: greed)pass as as part of our 'normal' lives.
