I was wondering if by any chance you might one day touch upon the Viper Mark III from Blood and Chrome, especially since it's design was meant to be the Mark II of the reimagined series but then the brass wanted a simplified version of it. I think it'd be interesting to compare the Mark III to the Mark II because of seeing what was simplified and or changed.

I had started a profile of the Mk III a while back, but work picked up quite a bit since then. Don't know when I'll be able to get back to it.

This was done before Caprica. Besides, this is more real-world evolution than in-universe.

Not bad. The only problem is that the Starfighter is from "Buck Rogers" and is not a part of the "Battlestar Galactica" universe. The only vehicle they have in common are the shuttles, and that's because, believe it or not, it's standard practice to recycle props and models for multiple productions, so the shuttle got reused.

You do realize that the BR starfighter was originally supposed to become the Viper until they decided to use something else? Later on they revived the design for Buck Rogers because it was too good to remain hidden in some production archive.

Very cool trivia! Also, not surprised. I recall noticing that in another show, "Battle Beyond The Stars" (though, as I type this, I'm not sure that is so) , they reused the Battlestar Galactica " theme, which I found to be funny.
In an entirely different universe, they reused the prop guns from " Time Cop" quite a few times.
