Overview for the Iomachd Compan Gaerd-Class Corvette.

For information:

Mostly out of my own interest, I compared the Gaerd-Class with an F-303C/h heavy fighter, a B-305 bomber/escort ship and a Teldy-Class corvette. All four spacecraft are of a similar size, from the 42 m long F-303C/h to the 57 m long Teldy-class. I just wanted to see a comparison. I did not provide any additional information in the overview, except for the Geard class, of course, because I have already shown the other three spacecraft in other overviews.

Attempt by "Iomachd Compan", a manufacturer of planetary vehicles, to enter the lucrative spacecraft business

Ships of the Gaerd-Class are therefore available in four versions, two civil and two military variants

Only the landing ship version of the military variant, with less powerful hyperdrive, without weapons, but better armor is a really big success

The Free Jaffa Empire almost exclusively uses the Gaerd-Class DropShip for its infantry Especially for the elite unit of the Ulan 'oberoh, the Imperial Guard, use this spacecraft exclusively for command missions

The civilian version without hyperdrive, used as an intercontinental or interplanetary passenger and cargo ship, is also successful

The military patrol boat is quite popular, but not as successful as Iomachd Compan wanted it to be

The civil, interstellar cargo ship version is a complete failure

The reason for the low success of the unsuccessful versions is the poor performance of the drive system (Sublight and Hyper Drive).
