For the longest time now I have been wanting to redesign brothers: Akio and Akiru. I really liked their old designs, but felt they just didn't quite "fit" how I wanted them to look. Yes, they were twins, but their coats didn't really say "hey, we're related," in other words they didn't match one another. Soooooo, I began working on this piece yesterday afternoon and kept working on it on and off since then up until now.

Akio (the leopard coat) is designed after a horse I know in real life, actually my mother got to ride her once. I wanted to make his brother Akiru (the blanket appy coat) a more toned down version of Akio to better match their personalities. I feel this works a lot better for the two. Akio is wild while Akiru is calm and reserved.

I also decided to give them both matching fishbowl/bottle necklaces, each with a live goldfish inside. ^-^ My mother (being the truthful and brutal critic that she is) entered my room, looked to my computer and said... "who feeds the fish? How do they live? Who cleans them and changes the water?" I don't know...ok? They JUST live on their own and don't need food. Maybe they are special goldfish, I have no idea. xD Maybe the water is so pure, it came from an enchanted lake so it never becomes dirty and the fish never need food. Haha! That's how, Mother! Anyway, I thought the fish was a pretty neat idea and an interesting concept.

As you can see they are tied together, they must and will forever be tied together. It's a good thing they have such a close and intimate relationship or this might be a disaster for them being stuck like this.

Anyway, thanks so much for looking! I will be making their updated ref sheets as soon as possible.
