If I had to make a story for this, and it has to involve them as a roommates to lovers story, it be that these 2 came together during college as roommates, got bitten by the same werewolf, both got the burning urge to build muscle, which built on supernaturally fast to bodybuilder size in a few weeks, and in time for the next full moon. And long story short, they felt like that no one would understand them both, they develop feelings for each other and realize they were meant to help each other and more.
