Description This, of course, is Kratos Aurion, of Tales of Symphonia. I've drawn him once before, but it's waaaaaay back in the beginning of my gallery.

Anyway, Kratos is one of my favorite game characters of all time. And so is his English voice actor, Cam Clark. He also did Ryudo from Grandia II, one of my favorite Playstation games.

I was so thrilled that Kratos did the intro for Tales of Symphonia-Dawn of a New World, but so sad that he wasn't in the game itself. UNTIL I FOUND OUT HE WAS!!! Now, in preparation for buying the game, I looked up a lot of stuff about it, and NOWHERE I looked mentioned Kratos being in the game itself-BUT HE IS, DAMMIT!

Now, aside from that, I don't want to spoil that part of the game for people, so if you also were unaware of his game presence, message me, and I'll be happy to tell you where and when.

Mediums: Pencil, mostly. Faber-Castell Polychromos Black and Prismacolor Black Art Stix for the coat. ( I know I'll have to remember this later)

Merry christmas to you! I hope you'll have some great days ^_^

Oh, he played in Grandia? Argh, I have the game; it's shame that I can't play it on this Pc. Dx

Oh, yes, I've heard he is in Dawn of the New World, but...You don't actually see ihim, right? If we're talking about the same scene, that is. xD

I was planning on buying a Wii for that game alone, but since Kratos wasn't prominently in it I decided not to, haha. x'D

Anyway, to the point! I really like this drawing! It's very Kratos like, you can see that in a mere glance ^^ I especially like how you made the face; the eyes in particular. And the nose too. And the mouth. And the hair. (I've heard lots of complaints of how hard it is to draw Kratos' hair, but you pulled it off well )

My only point of possible improval is the part of the shoulderpads. :3 The for the viewer left is a little too low, since it doesn't cover up the trapezium-muscle fully. :3 Oh, and you forgot the buttons on his suit. x3

But that's all, really I like the drawing Would you mind if I'd watch you?

Oh, besides, I can send you a good reference for Kratos' belt suit, if you want? :3 It will be the costume of the Ova, which differs from the game, but it is fairly clear. :3

*glompnoms* Merry Christmas to all! And thanks so much! I'll try to take it in order-

Yes, he plays the main character in Grandia II, and a snarky bastard he be. <3 My sister and I checked out his game/anime resume on Wikipedia and were amazed at all the things he *has* done, but Ryudo's by far our favorite.

Dawn of a New World-like you, I almost didn't get it, because of the lack of my favorite character-BUT I decided to give it a try anyway. All right, there are good points-I do like the story, the addition of the new characters balances with the inclusion of all of the old, and it's fascinating to see all of the changes the world restoration brought unto Altameria-and the bad-it's a much shorter game, there's a new voice actor for Lloyd, which messes me all up(they replaced everyone but the actors for Kratos and Colette, but in most cases it's not as noticeable), and there's not as much extra stuff. My sister and I rated it about an 8. It would be a great game on sequalism, story, graphics and gameplay alone . . . if we weren't over-picky diehard fans of the first, it would have been perfect.

And Kratos IS in the game, in a small Easter Egg. Right before the main character, Emil, goes on his last epic battle, the game lets him have a 'last chance to see the world,' and if you go to where the ToS characters hang out, he can have a little cutscene with each of them. But if he goes to the New World Tree area, he walks up on Yuan receiving a transmission from Kratos from Dherris Kharlan.

I kid you not, it was three a.m. and all through the house, not a creature was stirring . . . until then. I burst into where my sister's room was, shrieked 'I FOUND KRATOS IN DAWN OF A NEW WORLD!!!' and my sister actually jumped out of bed, and we both played the scene. Twice(I reset.)

Yes. We're Kratos stalkers. Screw your 'recovery' group.

*cough* On to the picture.

I thought the hair was going to KILL me. KILL. ME. That's why I'm ridiculously pleased by all the praise I've received so far. I'm not too good at shading yet, so I kind of guessed my way through.

Oh, and the buttons were sort of a combined accident between myself and my daughter. I'd drawn them, and was coloring in around them right about the time she ran into the room and launched onto my arm. Usually, we have a strict hands-off policy when Mommy has a sketchbook in her hands, but . . .well, she's three. She forgets. Well . . . I said some very un-Christmassy stuff, and tried to fix it, but it was too late and pretty much impossible to get the color off, so I just ended up giving up and coloring over it . . . and then that looked weird so the other ones ended up going, too.

. . . . . . *hangs head* One of these days, I'm going to impress on that child to leave mommy's drawings alone . . . She's got her own gallery of drawings that she's 'added to' when mommy wasn't looking . . .

Moving on. I actually have the OVA on DVD, so that's where my first Kratos picture came from: [link]

O_O Having looked at that again . . . jeez. October 4, 2008? I'd been drawing for . . . two weeks. Maybe three. WTF was I thinking? *headdesk*

Must . . . re-draw . . .

All right, gotta get ready for the holiday-got Christmas dinner. I'd be ridiculously pleased if you Watched me . . . wait, that sounded perverted, but you know what I mean! >_<

Hmmmn, I see, I see ^_^ Oh, once, that was really funny. xD I had just finished watching some movie or so, and I was watching the credits. And I thought I read 'Cam Clark' from the corner of my eyes, so I quickly rewinded, but it turned out it was someone named 'Sam Clark' so I was pretty disappointed. I'm so indoctrinated, haha. xD

Yes, I watched a few short videos of Dawn of the New World. I have to say I really have to get used to the new voices. x3 But oh well.

Oh oh! I totally didn't know that! xD I'll go look on youtube to see if I can find that scene to fufill my Kratos-craving... (That just sounds so weird.) I did know about the communicator scene, though. :3

Haha, awesome! xD I'm not sure I would've gone around shrieking, but I'd certainly be in seventh heaven. xD

Oh, I know how that is Dx Sometimes my friends add something of their own when I draw in their presence.

Sweet drawing As for reference, here you go; hope it helps.
