Kratos Aurion, from Tales of Symphonia. This is actually from part 4 of the 4-part OVA, in the last few seconds.

This is probably my favorite thing so far, and one of the hardest to draw. I'm a Tales of Symphonia freak, and I would have little Kratos-babies any day, and I wanted to draw him in his full Cruxius regalia-because let's face it-MEOW!

The only problem was, they didn't have a single frame with his whole body in it, so it's really taken from about 3-4 seconds of a shot that panned from his feet to his head. I started backwards, drawing the face and shoulders, backed up a few frames and did the same with his torso, then did it with his legs. I ran out of paper before I got to his feet though. Le sigh.

Unfortunately, having stared at a static image for so long-this took about two hours to pencil-draw-I totally didn't notice that said camera shot was panning to the left IN ADDITION to up, to he looks a little . . . off. I tried to compensate when I realized it, but I don't know how well I did.

Oh, and coloring was nerve wracking. I'd worked so damn hard on the pencil part, I was scared to ink it because I might mess up. And then, I was terrified to color it. This is when I finally bought colored pencils for certain areas, and combined them with the crayons. I think the overall effect is all right . . .

In any case, he's my favorite, and I want to draw more of him in the future. Once I've recovered.
