I think these are launched from a tube, I cant stop thinking these are mass deployed UAV weapon that can be folded and packed in tight space.

I can absolutely see that. Dozens of tubes lined up and filled with these crafts folded like origami, then launching and unfolding mid-air in a matter of seconds.

That sounds like interceptor batteries loaded on to any platform that can carry them. Accompanying the system there should also be an arresting mechanism that handle return drones.

I imagine if they were VTOL they could fly into a hangar or some kind of deck, or even perhaps back into the launch tube somehow. Alternatively, perhaps they could be disposable and simply self destruct or break apart after their ammunition/usage is depleted.

These thing do not need VTOL, the craft need to be kept simple. The recovery mechanism can take advantage of its 4 wings act as air break also as mechanical guide that slide into the resolver where there will be arresting cables attached to 4 corners. In case of disposable operation, when ammo is expand the craft can become a missile, the self destruct system is also a warhead in missile mode.

That's a very intriguing idea for a recovery system, I like it. I do think also the craft becoming a missile is an interesting idea, although one would hope it fully zeroizes its internal components before or when it is self destructs so no tech gets into the hands of an enemy.

Put all the important tech on the host system, the drone can carry very little interesting stuff, and it cannot be derived even if it is intact, sense there isn't enough information to predict the complex system on the other end.

I know these are supposed to be human aircraft and all but, this thing just looks... alien, to say the least.
Then again the same logic did apply to the F-117 so.... actually I kinda wanna see something like this IRL now.

I really love the design. Kinda thin and insect-like in how separated their individual parts are. But still looks plenty aerodynamic. What's that big pod right behind the main fuselage? Is that the engine? And what kind of engine is it anyway?
(And I know the StarFox comment has already been made, but I love it all the more for the resemblance. Cool plane.)

Thank you!
The large pod aft of the fuselage is indeed the engine/tail. As for propulsion, I haven't quite figured it out yet, but it'd be something suitably futuristic.

Naturally. A nuclear thermal rocket or a gravity impulse booster or something.

Are they UAVs?, cuz either way they're cool

Thanks!
The pilot sits inside a fully enclosed cockpit, so the exterior of the craft/cockpit is covered in cameras. The pilot sees outside the cockpit with a built in heads-up-display in his helmet or several screens inside the cockpit. Alternatively though, I suppose they could just be drones.

You're right! I used MS-Paint for designing and drawing the aircraft in the scene.

Kinda makes me think of the Arwings from Starfox. Which is a good thing, since those are some of my favorite fictional craft ever. Great job!
