(well, you probably did, if you read up about my mutant cat species) ^.^ I got kinda lazy with the background as usual >>;Referenced lightly from a photo of Ruby Ring (my favorite contortionist!)

Wah! I'm happy it popped in my random faves and I instantly wanted to tell you once again how much I love these mutant species and their ability to bend back and forth to the same degree of flexibility ^_^ (interesting anatomical concept!)
I was just reading a book and thinking how cool it would be if the nature made the human spine foldable like that, I figured out so many very comfortable poses for reading but they all require the backbone as flexy as Vera's 6.6
Imaginary characters are so lucky cuz they only depend on their artist's skill, and so when they need a feature or two, all they need is just go to the artist's muse and make a deal, and voila--

I have pondered the concept of actual 'folding'... I believe I remember one of your pictures that depicted such an act, and it's fascinating because of the impossibility. Contortionism seems impossible as it is, but when taken to such extremes that aren't possible no matter what sort of bendy body you are born with/develop, it's astounding.
I tried drawing one of your bendy boys the other day, because I needed practice with male figures/skin tones... and your characters were the first to pop into my head... they are so soft and appealing. do you have any ref images of your boys per chance?

Awesome anatomy! The design is each time better than before.Mutant cats do postures that are great to draw,I have to do one of those poses at least with charcoal.I like the fur of the hip and all the muscles.

This reminds me of some artist's work that I have on my watchlist.. ALL she draws is contortionists, it's really interesting.
