Ahh, page 39. Also known as "that page where blaze said 'fuckit' to all backgrounds. >.<"Don't worry, they'll be back. Just. Ehn. I want to get on with things, and this set up is dragging me down. DAMN YOU, POORLY EXECUTED PLOT SETUPS >.<
Incase some of you are wondering what Rogue's mailing: It's the AMAZING size changing box. It's a box with the mutant power to be whatever size I want it to be on any given page. >.<
This is also the first page I drew Storm with no references, just from memory. It shows >.<

That's alright, didn't you hear? Saying "fuckit" to backgrounds is what all the cool kids are doing these days.
For the record, I don't have the Jean-Ororo confusion problem either. I suppose you could eliminate that possibility if you went back someday and toned all these pages, but thus far the difference in facial features has been super clear to me.

I like the SHOWDOWN in the first panel and I love Pietro's suspicious face in the last one. Poor Auntie O just misses her nephew. ;.; Pietro's such a punk. But that's why we love him! For his punk-assity.

Without color, she and Jean look so much alike, it's a bit scary. o.o;;

You're not the first person to say that-(Jean = Storm? ) I personally don't see it, but then, I'm probably biased. >_> In my view, though they do have the same eyes and face shape, Jean has thicker eyebrows, thinner lips, a narrower/pointier nose, a hair part just off her left eye (instead of dead center, where most every other character's is >.>
But yes. Without colour? It can be difficult.

I don't think it makes you racist. It's more about facial features than skin color.
It's amazing that you put so much research into subtle things such as eyebrows and noses to be able to differentiate between the two like that.
It's that attention to detail that makes your comic so great!

Those first two panels...of just the eyes....I hear those chords from Kill Bill. You know the "ree! reoo! ree! roo! Bum ba da bum baaa". Yeah...no auido in text. And I don't know why you think this page is so bad. The lines are so clean you could eat off them and the expressions are great! I love EE! It NEVER disappoints me. Cept when it doesn't call after a very intimate evening. But I always forgive it. I know it loves me.
