Description The bad day has become a very bad week. I'm starting to feel very discriminated against, because of my shape.
I actually used a photo reference for this, I surfed a lot of porn to find that twist in her back.

this is beautiful! and I know what you mean.. I've never been thin ever. All my life i've had my parents ( father mainly) would tell me that to loose weight and he would say 'if you ever want to meet someone, you'll have to have the right 'package'.. This always hurt and made me just not care about myself.

however,I've proved them wrong... I've been happily married for 5 years to the best guy in the world.

I like it not because of my weigh or looks. I am very slim and etc, but people discriminate me just because I have different interests than them And the worst is that I didn't hurt them, they just bother me because I am weird T_T

No matter what size or shape your body is, you are always a beautiful woman. I often worry about my weight, but then i think of how sexy i would be if was in say, india. In india, or arabia, having a big belly, big hips, and big breasts is considered the most attractive girl out there. No matter what society says, or what you weight is, or what you look like, you are a gorgeous, beautiful woman. flaunt your stuff, because you rock!

Would it get on your nerves if I said I was a little jealous of your figure? I'm pretty sure you've heard a lot by now I can relate to how you feel, size 24 n' all. Well since I've been walking all over campus now, I'd like to say a size 23 and a half

I ABHOR when people are so concerned about one's looks that they'll act like complete degenerates when they see someone who's actually HEALTHY looking. And when they're obstinately rude I just wanna beat them into the ground! But I say have your junk food and goodies, but in small amounts and be sure to have some good stuff on the side as well. If people play the "size-ism" card, it's their loss. They just burned the bridge to a best friend, or business partner even.

You have earned yerself a fav, missy!

I completely agree with the idea of this piece. Why is it that some people are always so hung up on a person's weight? This is HEALTHY!

I really love this piece. I think you did a great job portraying the beauty of the human body. I also like that you kept the lines and shading fairly simple. Overall I think it's a beautiful, clean piece

this is a very beautiful piece. it shows off the curves of a woman in a different way. not everyone is a 36, 24, 36. I myself am not skinny and even though i have never ben really made fun of for being big, i never liked it when other made fun of people for it. most of the bigger people have a wonderful personality anyway and make better friends better than twiggies (that's who started this trend too, so lets go punch her )
and also, by drawing in this fashion, you have gone back in time and, as one of the comments said, recaptured the beautiful sculptures of Greece. i don't see anyone criticizing the sumptuous curves on the statues of ancient Greece so no one should criticize those in modern times either

I like women of all shapes and sizes. When I was still in school I've actually dated a girl who later became Holland's Next Top Model. Yes she was skinny, but it was her natural shape. I've also dated girls who would be called "chubby" or "fat" by today's standards, but they were amazingly beautiful too!! My point is; Just be yourself, be natural and don't try to change yourself for others and you WILL BE BEAUTIFUL! People who try to tell you different are just A-holes. Oh and vrry nice drawing skills btw, she looks very soft and huggable ^^

I felt the same way in school...except i was oposit, many picked on me because i was extremely skinny, i have the body of a boy until i was nearly 16. I would have gived anything for a body back then, not because of peer pressure, but because i honestly thought something was wrong with me, i looked annerexic...it actually resulted in an eating disorder, i was always eating high fat foods and generally always eating in hopes of putting on weight.

But you know what, i think your beautiful just the way you are, i still envy 'big girls' they have such a beautiful shape to their body.

Just seek to be kind to all of those around you and hope it spreads!

In my experience, there are few problems that disgust other people to the point of rudeness so much as obesity. (Or even just a little overweightness--it doesn't need to be full blown obesity.) It's very easy to chastise that fat girl over there for being so unappealing. Clearly all she has to do is stop eating french fries and she'll be normal. And who is she to be wearing a skirt and heels? Downright offensive, that hideous whale trying to look pretty. Such a waste of good fabric.

*sigh* Big people are people too. We even have feelings.
What goes around, comes around. I'm a firm believer.

Trust me, you shouldn't feel so victimized!
The people who lash out with words like that aren't targeting just overweight women they target EVERYONE. They're out to hurt someone.
I still don't understand why but like I said all you can do is spread the love, make someone smile instead of shed a tear and their world will be a little brighter for it and then, perhaps, they won't feel the need to go out and spread their own darkness to others.

Ok, you must know how wonderful this just made me feel. I'm about that size too, and I HATE HATE HATE Americas next top model because I feel like a freaking elephant when they critique those skinny-minis. But this is beautiful. People have attacked me directly about my weight AND IT SUUUUCKS. I'm sorry: Some girls are small. Some are big. Can't we all be freaking beautiful like this? The way we are? Truth be told there's quite a bit of men, myself among them who enjoy women with ample curves.
I couldn't care less about today's 'ideal' figure. And you'd better believe i wouldn't want to wake up next to a 'woman' who looks like a boy wearing make up.

Good to hear that you enjoyed my comment.
Also, i can't imagine that any of the 'women' mentioned above is any good in the sack, if not for lack of body mass then most likely for taking themselves too seriously.

Furthermore, i used to give women's boxing with a friend of mine, and all of the younger women and girls would whine on and on about their 'overweight' as they perceived it.
It's wrong, it sucks and it's a way of negative attention hogging.

I'd sure enjoy going 3 rounds with the fasion moguls who invited the stick insect trend.

regards and do keep supplying your art,

Paul

seeing this wonderful artwork, made me realize the curves are beautiful. It also reminds me of ancient greek art, they werent stick thin but rather plump.

thanks for reminding me that no matter how big you are, your still beauitiful

I made the mistake of watching some America's Next Top Model tonight, and now I feel awful about myself. So your timing for this comment couldn't be better!
It's so easy to forget that NOT ALL WOMEN are airbrushed rail thin freaky blowup dolls, when that seems like it is the ideal we are most exposed to. There is more to life than salad every day. It IS okay to enjoy that huge piece of cheesecake.

The way I see it--one day the skinnies will all starve themselves to death. Then guess who's left!

Thank you for reminding me it's okay to be happy with myself, because I know who I am and what I look like.

I've been struggling a lot with my self-esteem lately, since I'm "overweight" and don't have huge, porn-star breasts, and perfect skin/hair, etc. I even moved recently, from Florida to New York, and before I left, my great grandmother wanted to take a picture of me... and asked me to suck my stomach in, "because it's too fat". My ex always told me I was soggy and whatnot, too...

This is really a touching piece, to me. I'm glad I feel like I can connect with someone on this. It's beautiful artwork, with a beautiful message.

I'm really glad I hit a note with you, because I know how hard it is to be okay with yourself when the people you trust most are not. I am here to say it's FINE if you're a big girl, it's a sign of health that you don't vomit up your meals or skip them entirely.
Understanding myself, was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn. Self acceptance. If you're not okay with it, change it, but don't hate it--because this is the only body you've got and there's lots about it that never will change.
The people who need you to hate yourself, are wrong. Insults are not productive or loving ways to react when someone is a little insecure. So thank them for their DELIGHTFUL powers of observation, and walk away. You don't need that. They're holding you back from acceptance.

Sexual comments aside, I hope you'll come around society's lameness on all levels and finally live for yourself. Want a cookie? If you feel like it, just take it. It's when people uselessly refrain (too much) that things go down the drain and aren't balanced.

Oh, and nice anatomy (I'm speaking of the drawing itself here ).
