I can't stop coming back and admiring this piece. It just captures such a beautifully intimate moment. You can really feel the emotion jumping out at you, so simple, and yet...so real, so human.
It's so easy to imagine a story behind it (e.g., he's just come home tired from work, kicked off his shoes, and collapsed into her comforting arms...or maybe they're going through a hard time and dealing with it together.)
The detail is incredible, the colors, the composition...just everything.

Amazing, Breathless, I'm in awe, Not by how well it was painted and the great rendering skills of the figures. I'm in awe at the emotion I immediatley felt when I looked upon this. This is what I call art. It truely moved me and is such an intriguing peice. The woman being so caring and nursing the man in pain and loving him despite his weekness. WOW!
