I'm glad to see there's someone else out there who likes the character Nodoff and not just ME. Thank you again for drawing him! I was looking on Fanfiction.net to see if there were any Darkwing Duck fan fiction of him, unfortunately it didn't look like there were any.

Nodoff was one of the koolest of the one shot villains. It'd be nice to see him in the comics.

After reading what you both put, I do agree that it is darker then the cartoon was but, I don't think they made the characters so different then their cartoon versions. Paddywhack wasn't beaten in the show because he felt miserable it was because Darkwing and QuackerJack were laughing and showing positive emotions while trapped in his world. If misery feeds him then joy must starve him and love is a very powerful emotion.
But, #8 was rushed. It should have been harder to beat Paddywhack. I don't think they ruined any character really. I just don't like how they portrayed Morgana. I liked her better in episodes where she was clumsy with her magic and turned Darkwing into pudding.
I haven't read issues 11 and 12 yet, So i have no clue what happens and can't judge it 'til I do. I also kept in mind that the cartoon is 20 years old. Things have changed much since then. Storytelling, ideas, and such. Plus the writers are fans of the show and watched episodes while writing the story plot. I think they're trying to write the stories that they wanted to see as kids while watching the show.
The people who did Batman TAS did the same with Batman Beyond from Batman TAS.

They made him different. They are darker, what made them loose their real being.
I saw paddywhacks episode 57 times... the line of Darkwing : "Not so tasty on recieving it, is it?" Makes it really super clear... QJ and DW dont show love... are not really happy, so they cant really spread out happyness even if they would want to. But they start tricking him... making him look stupid... Annoying him and laughing on him... THATS what made him Starving OHHH YES.
Paddywhack gets stronger by Misery. Love and other Happy emotions, he does not like them... but what really makes him loose power, is feel himself Misery and tricked, what is really the contrary of what he does!
And i have him studied as much as possible cause he is actually my Favorite Character in the whole DWD!
They did... QJ... they ruined him... and they put a mary sue into his life... stupid idea. I didnt read the comics, was enough with what i saw and red... it already pissed me and i even cried cause they ruined the real nature of DWD series.
Well, if they wanted to see stories like that, they should better watch BATMAN and not DWD, really... Even if 20 years have passed by.... DWD shouldnt change.... Cartoon today are horrible, they all suck in TV... we miss the 80 and 90 series a lot... and use them and change them to the todays style is the biggest fail they can ever do!
If they really enjoyed DWD, they should actually stop changing things to THAT they think should be... and let it the way it was, for the taste of everybody.. ... For changing things, already people invent their own Verses.... but they never touch the real one cause being the original... This ones came and changed the original, what pissed the half of the audience already.
I dont know that about Batman, there are many different styles of batman, and different stories... But people should never touch originals, for godness sake!

you have a good point and I agree with some of what you say. most of today's cartoons suck. a good 90% of it does. But, I don't think they destroyed the original feeling of the show. At the end of issue 4 when Gosalyn was electrocuted when trying to take Taurus Bulba offline, I cried when Darkwing held her and said that she was his hero.
The bond between them was/is still extremely strong. I really liked Clair and I hope they bring her back. she has potential as a good character and she revealed a side of QuackerJack that we've never seen before. The creator, Tad Stones originally wanted QuackerJack to be darker then he was in the TV series.
And the writer, Ian Brill and main artist, James Sivilani often talk to Mr. Stones because they want to keep as close to the show as possible. They even discuss plot ideas with him.
I understand how you feel though. I've been a fan of the series since I was 7 years old and I'm 22 now. So, I do know that I would also go nuts if something drastically bad happened but, I'm just grateful that we even have new adventures to read of Darkwing's heroic deeds.
The show was purely epic but, it wasn't without it's flaws. There were a few episodes that I don't like and they often drew the characters wrong based on where the episode was animated.

Well I would have still prefered to not see new adventures of DWD. I prefer how they where, my memories, and what i remember of them. If they suddenly change it, even if Tad Stone agrees, i dislike it as hell.
I red any issue, no DWD comic in my whole life... i wanted, till i saw QJ in one scene... TRANSFORMED INTO JOKER!!
No thanks, for that i already read batman comics.. really... What i liked about QJ is that he could be a friend actually... not the joker, who which i like, but i would never be able to trust.
DWD is not Batman, but they transformed it to it, even giving DWD the Covers of Batman Comics -..- Stupid really stupid.
DWD crying for gosalyn? No thanks... too much drama for my taste. I prefer my animated serie like it was, and they to stop making The Characters be out of their real being and thinking.

Well, to be honest, you can't form an opinion about the comics if you haven't read them. And Darkwing has cried for Gosalyn in the show and it's had much Drama.
example 1: When Gosalyn was being sucked into Paddywhack's jack-in-the-box. He grabbed her and sacraficed himself to save her.
example 2: Darkly Dawns the Duck part 2. He started beating the crap out of Taurus Bulba when he dropped Gosalyn the 2nd time. and then after the explosion, he came to the orphanage to adopt her.
example 3: Time and Punishment. Darkwarrior a.k.a Darkwing gone tyrant, He almost KILLED Gosalyn but, didn't.
example 4: Hot Spells. Gosalyn was tricked by the devil to give up Darkwing's soul.
Last example: Dead Duck. that whole episode was sad, full of drama yet, it's one of the most popular.
I have excellent childhood memories of Darkwing and co. I'm a tomboy because of Gosalyn. But, the comics didn't ruin anything. I am a diehard, loyal fan of the series and I have nothing against it, actually I fully support it. maybe it'll get more kids to read and watch good quality cartoons instead of the crap of today.
If a hero can't shed tears for his own daughter then how can he have a heart? (which his is made of pure gold)
On to the Batman subject Darkwing was never meant to be compared to Batman. The writer of the Batman: TAS was Alan Bernet. He gave Darkwing his name, it was right after that he left to work on the Batman series. Darkwing came first, and is compared more to James Bond and The Shadow then Batman. People just compared the two because they both are night-time heroes, both do not have any powers, and both are detectives, meaning they solve the case by finding clues.
you can't judge the comics based on what other people tell you. you have to read and find out for yourself. If you judge it without reading it then your giving up your childhood memories. Even if you still don't like it, at least you can see for yourself. I'm glad I read the comics before hearing the opinions of others. It allowed me to form my own opinion and I love the comics. They maybe changed 20% of the whole thing. But, other then that it's still the same.
If you read issues 1-4 you'll see why some of the characters have changed a little. If you were forced to work for a company for over a year and not be able to do what you love (cause trouble, wreak havoc, fight villains) then you would change too. A lot can happen in one year.
I never said anything about Paddywhack. He didn't change. His character stayed the same. He was not one of my favorite characters. I don't like clowns and Paddywhack is the creepiest of them all. I won't lie, my favorite character is Darkwing. without a doubt it's him. But, 
if they had Darkwing fight Megavolt or QuackerJack the same way over and over it would become boring as hell. now, it's got a whole new style and it's working wonderfully.
In the annual, there are two comics, One is the main one with QuackerJack and the second, Tad Stones wrote himself and even brought in a new villain. which felt no different then the old comics from the Disney Adventures magazines.
I'm not trying to force you to like them, you can do what you want, all I'm saying is, it's neither right nor fair to judge the comics before you've read it yourself. You cannot rely on the opinion from others. I'm not going to respond further because I don't want to fill this artwork's page with an argument. their artwork doesn't need this kind of attention. Read the comics, don't read them do whatever you want, I know where I stand and that's in the supporting crowd of the comics.

Well then do what you want. Gosalyn, i dont care about her, is a character i dislike.
That with taurus bulba dunno what you talking about, if its a chapter or not... I never red a DWD comic cause im from spain and they didnt come here, so i only remember what i saw when i was 6 years old. I was able to see like 50 chapters in english this days remembering as much as possible.
I liked the idea of a new comic coming... but i red a few pages, and i got scared of QJ... disliked a lot his change... he is completely the joker. And actually Darkwing Duck looks like a Batman parody, and im not talking about the batman animation, but the ones of the comics of the 40s.
I liked to laugh and have good times with DWD... specially QJ... but now quackerjack is anymore trustful... I already know enough dark stories, and dont want DWD to become one of them... but it has.
So i wont read it.. cause i want to stay with my memories...
And change into the days of now?... thats ruins the childhood... its lovely to see when your childhood characters dont change even if you grow up... so there is always something conecting you to your memories...
And you didnt have to write so much, cause im already tired of discussing something so big stupid, cause everybody has his opinion and im not telling you to change it.
I just said that i dislike the comic and hope they wont touch Paddywhack anymore, cause they already did wrong beating him with love... something that could look nice, if they hadnt told in the original chapter already, what really beats him Uu...
I love my paddy... while others screamed with him, i giggled and looked at him with big shiny innocent eyes... i dislike clowns, but that ghoul has stolen my heart.
And ill keep thinking of DWD characters like actors who like to drink a coffee together each time they finish a scene in the animation. Thats my fun O-o.

I can't say that he is the coolest, since I do care more about Liliput, but yeah Nodoff is pretty awesome too!
And I have mixed feelings about the idea of him being in the comics, sure I would appreciate more art of him, but it also could ruin so many things, the comic messed up quite a lot so far and I couldn't stand it if they go on and do this to every character...

Hmpf, it's just that they wanted to match up with other comics, so they made it all "darker". God damnit Darkwing is nothing like a marvel comic or something, nothing against those comics btw, but Darkwing Duck is a CARTOON! In my eyes there is a BIG difference between a comic book and a cartoon, they should have just stayed with the original charm and it would have been fine...
Well, in the show it looked like he wasn't real after all since it was just a dream... otherwise, nobody said he wasn't real, so yeah, real or not real, he still is great and deserves more love!

Batman is batman... i love it.... and darkwing is darkwing, and love it too... why? Cause they are different... unique.. special!!! But turning Darkwing into Batman is the big fail... it looses all what turns it into what it is...
And yeah! Marvel comics are more dark... but darkwing is not marvel comic... and transforming it into what it is not... makes him not better but WORST!
And yeah.. But you never know! SO i say its real and ill use him for my comic! I need to write the comic story for my final grade in characters.. at university.. My teacher is happy with SD and the story!! So hope you all will be too ^^

It's ok to get some help! I know how hard it is to run a comic on your own, and I don't think that anyone will judge you because you accept some help. And I need some practice at inking and coloring anyway.

Yeah, Nodoff is great, and yes I was searching for fanart of him earlier this day,but without any results.
One shot villains just don't get enough love... on the other hand, I don't even know if he really counts as a villain, since it all appears to be a dream in the show.
