Well, I started this picture back when the game came out, so I don't remember how long the initial sketch took... I picked it up again recently and that part took around three hours of planning, four of drawing and rendering and flip-flopping with what colors I'd put where...

Nope! Background came last. I drew Terry first, then drew the first sketch of the cow, then I threw in a wall and made it look like I actually planned for the wall to be there. I almost never do backgrounds.

wow, that's a huge surprise O_O when i paint digitally (on one layer) I find it easier to do an outline to know my general boundaries and start on the BG getting close to the central figure. Then i finish the figure and close the little gap between the front and tha back. I'm probably doing it the hard way, though
