Austria. Aiden felt a tingle of familiarity when he arrived at the new venue. It was definitely more similar to his homeland than the Spanish South. Huh, the South, his soon-to-be new home. Or at least that was the plan. Alexander had set him up with a new steed and a competition to proof his skill with the aim to get him to this new location. Aiden never dreamed he would be back on track, but racing for such a fast rising stable like the Cor de Leon was far out of what he considered his league. But here he were, Austria, with his new equine partner in crime, the place where they would have their second proofing. Being early he took his time to get Keg used to the new surrounding and check out the place, to get a feeling where the most important installations were, the most convenient pathways, etc. The track impressed him immensely, a wonderfully prepped lane with historical looking decoration, lots of greenery, and a nice view in every direction. The Cor de Leon already left an impression but this was in no way lacking. It had a different charm that really spoke to him. A certain serenity that helped keep his mind and heart calm and ready for the race ahead.
The early morning vet check went without any incidents thanks to Keg's really chill off-track temper. The stallion had his own head and did argue at times with Aiden but overall he was open to compromise. While the check itself was done by a different vet Aiden spied Angelo, the resident vet from the CdL, on the sideline. It felt kind of strange but also soothing that upon looking at him the feeling of seeing a colleague clicked in instead of meeting a complete stranger. Maybe the move to the South won't be as awkward as he expected. Keg was in top condition, ready for the warmup. Getting ready and leaving for the warmup area he made sure to keep his eyes open for Hiro to greet her and show some support for the race, even if it was only from a distance to not further fuel the little rivalry Keg and Corvo had going on.
While loading into the gate he shot a quick glance around. Would they have a little "blockage" again this time? His attention soon turned back to the race itself again. He felt Keg stir below him. He was so ready for this and one could feel it. Not the stallion to make a big show in the gates one could feel though he was hyper fixated for any sign that would tell him to go.
And when the signal came and the doors flew open he went off....

And off they go at the next location. Austria is a little more to Aiden's homeground and he really appreciated the early morning rain. Was nice compared to Spain's heat for the born Scotsman.
I also wanted to give back some features with this one because you all were so nice to pick my duo for your pictures Q.Q
I honestly didn't expect the racing event would be as much fun as it is but I stand corrected :3 Let's move on to the next venue, shall we?
