I finally finished my Nienna from Silmarillion. I want to draw all Valar queens, now I have 2 Nienna pics and a Vána [link] .Nienna is one of the Valar queens, young sister of Mandos & Lórien.
Grief and mourning are Nienna's province; in her halls in the distant west, she weeps for the suffering of Arda (the world).
She teaches pity and endurance. The Maia Olórin, who was later to travel to Middle-earth as Gandalf, learned much from her.
Her house is in the 'west of West, upon the borders of the world' and 'the windows of her house look outward from the walls of the world'.

I shall steal my boyfriend's Book of The Silmarillion and read it so I can find her and all about the Valar Queens. She has a very cool concept and I love the picture ^^

Silmarillion is very nice and full of LOTR mythology but it's a bit confusing, there're lots of people and sometimes you find yourself saying ''who the hell are these people??!'' But it's full of nice characters to draw

yeah, the movies really help you get your head around, unfortunately I had read the books long before the movie, first time was very hard ^^

all good I really should get them read I have the Hobbit and the LOTR triligoy but Garricks got all the interesing books.
