Description
Paleo Profile: Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai. Many partial fossils of this thick nosed lizard have been found and most of them sport large bony bosses atop their skulls. Many representations show this animal with a large arrangement of horns and other decorative ornaments sprouting from the bony masses. In this representation I have added a cluster of bone on the forefront of the frill nearest the eyes, allowing this representation to lock skulls with another of its kind to shove back and forth without mortally wounding its opponent. A nice drawing again, although P. canadensis did not show the central horn behind the eyes (that was only present in P. lakustai and P. peretorum). They also did not have the forward-facing horns on the frill.
