Solitary: Tiago is known not to get himself into crowds or large groups, and will often be found on his own at gatherings and other events. The only company he enjoys are members that are lucky enough to be considered his friends.

Misunderstood: He may look like a cold grumpy lump but don't let that fool you, once you get past that you'll actually find a cat who will be more than happy to talk about certain things (as long as it pirate related). The only thing is once you know about this he will not let you tell another so easily.

Versatile: Being the pirate that he is Tiago is well adapted to the surroundings around him and others. He is capable of learning new things quickly and will not hesitate to put them to good use, he can even make use of things like materials, food and even using the weather as an advantage for survival.

Overprotective: Like a pirate with his treasure, once seeing something precious he will do all that he can to ensure no harm comes to it. He can even be protective over cats interacting with his "crew" and will be often seen scowling or giving off the odd hiss.

Explorer: Once he hears of a place that has been uncharted, he will not sit around and wait to be given orders. He enjoys the thrill of unknown territory and danger that he will practically welcome it with open arms, after all where's the fun in danger if you steer away from it.

Judgemental: Tiago can be a tough judge when it comes to character, especially on the first encounter. He will watch the behaviour of others and will use that to decide how they are as a cat, even a small error can risk chances to gain his trust.

Background:

Abandoned at a young age Tiago had spent most of his years alone, wondering to different places to find out more about this place he called home. He would travel vast distances within a few days, only stopping to rest and replenish his hunger and thirst. During one of his travels he came across a dense forest that was somehow tamer than the previous ones he had seen before, however he soon discovered that man was the reason for this. Not wanting to cause attention to himself he decided to make his leave away from the settlements only to hear a cantering horse near him, startled he lay low to avoid being seen but to his surprise the human wasn't after him... But another cat. Seeing the distressed female filled his heart with rage, even though he lived alone he did show compassion for other felines in trouble. Letting out a loud roar he tackled the hunter off his horse and to the ground, unaware of the knife the man had hidden in his shawl which he quickly got out and attacked the lion hybrids face. Tiago snarled in pain as his eye was caught luckily enough not blinding him, he quickly turned towards the female and nudged her to run in his direction leading them both to shelter in a nearby cargo hold.

After passing out from exhaustion the two hybrids awoke to a continuous swaying motion, which upon inspection found out that they were both out on open water, along with the surprised human crew that operated it. Trying to assert his dominance over the vessel he was grabbed by the ear and quickly dragged below deck by his counterpart, a little annoyed that his take over wasn't successful. As the crew members plotted together to rid themselves of the cats Tiago enjoyed the feeling of being out at sea, his thrill of adventure being filled with delight with each wave they hit. Unfortunately his companion didn't share the same interest and became somewhat unpleasant about the experience. When the crew attacked the pair managed to fight them off with little effort, even his lady friend showed off her true aggression towards them which very much impressed the lion hybrid cap'n. Whilst enjoying the ocean breeze Tiago was interrupted by the female but before he could show reluctance in her intentions he saw her concerned face, without hesitation he followed her only to be lead to a skinny young girl. Being a cat that didn't really like humans he couldn't help but feel sorry for her and agreed with his friend named Pil-lieu that they would accompany her for the rest of the voyage, the humans soon released the girl thinking that their worries would be over but it only made things worse for them. Resulting in them stopping at the first city they came to. Massalia.

After living in the docks for a few weeks Tiago and Pil-lieu heard rumours about cats who lived with free will, unfortunately their adopted child Zola could not come with them. After many attempts to find suitable candidates to raise her Tiago finally found a couple who treated other children with such kindness, but their kindness couldn't be shared with a child of their own. Telling his findings to his companion she was more than happy for them to take her, although it did hurt Pil she knew it was for the best even Tiago felt saddened by their departure. After a day of searching they finally came across a patrol which they joined to be apart of Lightning Empire.
