Kess despite her hard early life, is pretty playful and relaxed. She has to be, in order to get over the trauma she endured, she had to learn to let go of those things and relax once in awhile. For this reason she loves to play with cubs or tussle with young apprentices.

Kessemi is pretty reserved, not just because speaking is hard for her, but also just because she grew up very isolated. So she's not one to put her heart into someone quickly, that certainly doesn't mean she doesn't care. She does, however, don't expect her to share her life story with you on the first day!

Kessemi known's how to fight, and how to do it well, she has no deep hatred of the hunters. However, she does hate the terrible humans they serve that locked her up. And for that reason, if she has to kill a hunter in order to save the life of one of the caged cats in the coliseum. She will not hesitate to do just that and will sleep quite well the day after.

[Helpful]
Kess loves to help a handy paw, she can't speak much at all, and so often will show she cares by helping out. Whether its lending a paw to the healer or blacksmith, helping a fellow empire mate hunt or building up the camp more. You could say, her love language is acts of service.

[Compassionate]
Despite her mercilessness in battle, Kess cares about her empire mates a lot. She can't speak that love often, but she will show it in many other ways! She loves to tend for and adopt orphaned cubs, or even young apprentice or older cats who need a un-official mentor or parental figure in their life.

[Nocturnal]
Kessemi is oddly very nocturnal, she tends to sleep during the day and work at night. This is due to her often sleeping between the battles that she fought during the day, back in the city. And then as a result staying awake at night.

Bio / History

Kess's history is not special or tragic really, it's quite common for most cats. She was born into the coliseums, brought from a breeding pair by a rich young prince. Then her first year she spent training and sparring, the next three and half years she spent fighting for her life every day. She's killed many cats and lost many battles. One of those battles took her voice when the other feline almost tore out her throat. She was lucky, she did survive the injury. However, she then found it very hard to speak more than one word at a time, especially if it was longer than five letters. Of course, she was a very solitary cat, so it wasn't like she talked much, if ever really. So it became easy for her to stay silent, and not speak, for the longest time it was natural to only make noises. Meows, growls, snarls, or hissing, but not form words.

Kess was well known for her agility, often she would even jump off the heads or backs of large cats, leap onto ledges and barrels when fighting. She would leap around, avoid attacks and roll around until her enemy became weaker. Then she'd attack them in their weak point, of course, this tactic only worked so many times before the cat figured out her game. So she left many battles scarred and barely breathing. But this was her life, and she hated every second of it.

Then one night, as her owner was walking her back home, praising her for doing so well. The house caught fire, the prince dropped her leash, and Kess realized. She had a chance at freedom, a chance to escape! Well, she turned and ran into the city as fast as her little paws could take her. She spends days evading the hunters, and finally running out of the city and into the woods. The weeks that follow she ran into some rogues who spoke about this empire called "Stone Empire", they were dedicated to stopping the hunters and the humans. Kessemi liked the sound of that, so she headed out to find this Stone Empire.
