Whew! So, finally, this is the banner for my Fantasy Blog, Beyond the Far Horizon . It took a surprisingly long time for such a simple picture; this is the first piece where I've really messed around with Level and Color Adjustments in Photoshop. I'm still not positive how I feel, color-wise, about the really long trailing feathers. But, at this point I'm surprisingly happy with it. ^_^Related content

i really like this, it is very nice, it reminds me of a watercolour painting, it is very well done, and i like the border, and how the image transcends' it, very nicely done, btw, i think we have some pretty simialr ideas,

The colours are beautiful and like everybody else down below, I agree about the dapples patter, it looks great

Thanks! Since everyone seems so into the dapples scales, it was done with a hard brush in Photoshop with the spacing a little apart and the "scatter" setting on. Then I went over it about twenty or thirty times with different shades of blue.
