Description So, I run a D&D game - but I set it in the worldscape from my novel, so in large part the setting is nearly unrecognizable when compared the traditional one set forward in the the WotC core books, either 3.5 or 4th edition sets.

For example, this is the female satyr my erstwhile little group of adventures encountered in the woods. In my stories, satyrs have always been fey with a capital "f" - one of the only tribes of fey that not only tolerate but enjoy and seek out mortal company - so they have an alien look about them.

Anyway, her name is Massaressa, and I like her. ^_^

A lizard tale and FOUR ears? Eh, I know they like human company, but like other people they can be mean, kidnappers and such.

Heh, the better to hear you with my dear. ^_~ Yeah, traditionally satyrs were all male and they were known for kidnapping women to be their brides... I don't don't picture them quite like that, but I can see them bewitching mortals and luring them away, just to entertain themselves. O_o

Interesting design I wouldn't call her a satyr exactly, she's a whole new creature

Thank you I'm flattered to hear you say so; one of the things I really pride myself on is unique creature design. ^_^

Ooooh, I like him! Heh, and of course she'd be interested...one of the key features of being a satyr is that they're nearly always interested. (Even the ladies!) ^_~ Heh, now, that would make for an interesting bronzed picture, eh?

And thank you!

Wouldn't it though? Hooves and horns and whatnot all about the place... and my female even has four ears to nuzzle! Heh, I hope you get the chance to do it; I'll definitely keep an eye out for that one. ^_^

Hahah the embarrassing part would be if their horns locked and they got tangled that way

I didn't notice the four ears!
I'll definitely do it

Funny story, that actually happened to two kinds with braces making out in the lunchroom while I was in high school...

Yay! More sexy bronzies!

I know; I've never felt such a mixture of sympathy and wanting to laugh myself stupid...

you could laugh then feel bad afterwards, it's sort of like in those shows like Pop/American Idol, when bad singers go on, you feel embarrassed for them and can't watch

Yes! I can't handle watching people go through a certain intensity level of embarrassment, it just makes me feel awful and I have to look away! I think I'm missing the chunk of my brain that produces Schadenfreude. Unfortunately, that means that I can't enjoy most of the comedies released in the last decade... -_-

Yup. I just can't handle it; I have to go do something else because it makes me sooooo uncomfortable.

I have to look away or put it on mute...but then the facial actions of contorted pain make me suffer as well

I know; I usually have to change the channel and come back at a less painful part.

I have female satyrs in my world as well! I also have female fauns, centaurs, orcs, trolls, ogres, goblins, dwarves, and minotaurs, as well as males nymphs, mermen, harpies, and faeries.

Thanks for the fave - and good for you! I think the most important part of be creative is just training yourself to think differently, and to ask what hasn't been done before. Gender is as good a place as any to start! ^_^
