Yup, ya just knew there had to be a moral in here somewhere, didn't ya? This is as soft and possibly out of character as I'll let Bowser get, but keep in mind that Bowser does show some evidence of having a heart in the games, especially at the very end of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. Also remember that he's Koopa royalty and while their kingdom may not appear as prosperous as the Mushroom Kingdom at times, he's probably never witnessed something such as this before. Normally he wouldn't care, but recent events have got him thinking a little. I went through a lot of different ideas, but kept coming back to a homeless, blind Toad. It really is possible for people to be thankful for what they have even when they have so very little, and I've heard of some people like that. It really is ... I dunno, inspiring or something. So I hope everyone gets the message and takes it to heart a little, and have yourselves a Happy Thanksgiving!

There will be more to the comic (maybe one or two more parts), but they may not be finished until Friday or Saturday. We'll see.

Oh yeah, and the rain, I worked hard on it ... kinda. Let me know how it looks.

Cool! I really like the rain effects you put on here. I guess it's Bowser's fault that the Peach didn't know about the homeless people in her kingdom.

Thanks, and yeah, I suppose guilt could be a possible motive for Bowser here, though not what I originally had in mind. Bowser's just so used to demanding for things and having them handed to him that it's difficult for him to comprehend someone having nothing and not asking anyone for anything.

I personally think that Bowser is a soft caring and gentle guy deep inside. He just doesn't like to show it, mainly cuz he wants to look tough and brave and all that stuff.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I think. I'm glad you enjoyed the comic! Thanks for the faves!

I actually like how you've created a humorous tone at the beginning to spark and maintain interest, while gradually giving the comic a meaning that is more serious. Nothing wrong with a solid moral or two in a case like this (or anything else I can think of at the moment), but even so, you still managed to slip in a joke or two. It'll be interesting to see how you're able to finish this off.

As for the rain, I think there are parts where you actually did quite well with; in particular, the box in the second panel and the water dripping off of Bowser's face are pretty cool. It looks to me like you went with a light color (looks like white to me) and lowered the opacity of it. It's nice, but I believe that water tends to give off a darker tone than the surface it is on. Other than that, I would say it's not a bad effort. I would like to touch on this a bit more, but I don't know if you had anything to go by when you did the rain, so I don't know how meaningful any additional comment would be.

As a whole, though, I think this is a pretty good effort, and I hope you're able to keep it up through the end.

Wow! Long, detailed comments like that are what I like. XD You hit the nail on the head on my methods of drawing rain too. Thanks for the advice. I did use white, but like you said, a darker tone would probably have looked better. It was an experiment just like nearly every character's expressions are an experiment. I just came up with it on the fly and thought I'd see how it looked, and I really agree with what your observations of it. Thank you very much!
