My entry for the "Let's Get Animated" Contest. The object is to cross Titans characters into your favorite anime. Not as a mere cosplay, but into the actual roles and/or appearences of actual characters. This had a wide array of possibilities for me with so many anime titles to choose from. But I decided to go with one of my personal favs: Trigun.

For those who've never seen the anime, the story revolves around a traveling outlaw named Vash the Stampede. A mastermarksman, and a man who's earned the nickname: the Humanoid Typhoon. Wherever he goes, destruction and devastation seem to follow. He carries a 60 billion double dollar reward on his head (dead or alive) for destroying an entire city in one day. Due to the overwhelming destruction caused by what is legally declared the first localized human disaster, an insurance agency dispatches 2 young women to locate, monitor, and if possible, minimize the damage done. Upon meeting him however, the description doesn't really seem to fit. Vash is a fun loving, carefree, if somewhat sometimes simple minded fool. But they soon discover he is indeed that skilled in times of danger, able to disarm and stop an enemy without taking a life, contrary to his profile.

BeastBoy as Vash the Stampede - BeastBoy, I think, fits Vash's character very well. Spikey hair, always doing anything for a laugh and having a good time. But just like BeastBoy, Vash goes from off the wall to dead serious when he has to. BeastBoy also seems like the kind of person who'd rather sustain injury to himself rather than risk taking a life.

Raven as Meryl Stryfe - Raven is like Meryl in a few ways. She constantly has to keep an eye on BeastBoy/Vash to attempt to keep him out of trouble. And for most of the series she tries to get him to act serious. She's constantly irritated and annoyed by some of his antics, but knows deep down, he's a nice person with a good heart.

Anyone who has seen the show will notice immediately that the gun in BeastBoy's hand is not Vash's signature revolver. It's the toy dart gun he used to scare a few bounty hunters in one of the first episodes, shooting all of them with suction cupped darts rather than bullets. I chose this because it seemed like something fitting of BeastBoy's personality. And the flag hanging off the end of the dart on Raven's head sums up Vash's slogan. I was also intending to include Starfire as Millie and Robin as Wolfwood, but found time against me as usual.
