Description Elaine Marley from The Secret of Monkey Island. Elaine was, like, my role model when I was a little girl. Every young woman should dream of growing up to be governor, right? Not to mention a pirate princess and the wife of Guybrush Threepwood to boot! I mean, who wouldn't want to marry a guy named Guybrush Threepwood?

For people who don't play stuff where you can count the pixels, it's her costume from the first two games.

Monkey Island should be on the national curriculum (the first two to three, anyway). We should have international in-jokes! This is a really nice rendering of Elaine, I particularly like her calm but no-nonsense expression and the smoke curling above her head. Nice job ^^. Keep on chugging!

Thanks very much! It SHOULD be on the curriculum. Every child should know that root beer is fatal to ghosts. Think how many problems that would solve. <3

Thanks! It's a computer adventure game from 1990. The first one was called "The Secret of Monkey Island" and it goes on from there. There are now four of them. They are all about the comical adventures of pirates in the Caribbean and they all feature Guybrush Threepwood as the main character with Elaine as his love interest. If you like adventure games (or pirates), they are actually really great!

Never heard of the game, the governor, or her husband (seems like a weird name to me...but I like Drizzt Do'Urden so...yeah, no accountin' for taste. ^_^), but I like the pic!

Thanks! I read they ended up naming him after the unnamed sprite brush used for him in the game which was simply called guy.brush. Funny, if it's true.
