Our world is full of mysteries and wonders we haven’t yet figured out or discovered. Two of these elements are the Paranormal and Extraterrestrial. Paranormal is something not scientifically explainable things like telekinesis or clairvoyance, and involves creatures of myth like ghosts, vampires, etc. Extraterrestrial is something of or from outside the earth or its atmosphere; other planets, elements and resources, and mainly and the true aim of space travel; Extraterrestrial Life, simply put Aliens. These two elements fascinate us and today one with paranormal abilities will fight an alien superhero, these two have similar abilities like telekinesis and phasing through objects;

Vlad Plasmius

Vs

Miss Martian

But put them together in a battle to the death... who will be victorious?

Paranormal Vs Extraterrestrial!

Vlad Plasmius – main antagonist from the Nickelodeon series, Danny Phantom. Born as Vlad Masters II, Vlad along with his best friend Jack Fenton and his love interest Maddie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying the supernatural. They’re goal was to create a portal that will allow them to enter the Ghost Zone, a world where, well, ghosts live in order to prove they’re existence. Vlad's friendship with Jack ended when the prototype of the ghost portal they had built overloaded and blasted Vlad in the face with ectoplasmic energy. Vlad was hospitalized with “ecto-acne” for years, which ruined his social life, his spirit, and his chances of winning Maddie who ended up marrying Jack Fenton. This accident destroyed his life but he found out that the ectoplasmic energy infused his DNA with ectoplasm, granting him the status of being half-human half-ghost and giving him ghostly powers. After Vlad recovered he spent the next 20 years honing and taking advantage of his newfound powers and using them for his own personal gain by becoming rich and famous by becoming a business man (as well as many invisible burglaries with his new powers) and founded and owns Vladco; a company that specializes in the manufacture of ghost-related devices, all with the hope of eventually getting Maddie back. He had everything, until he found out that Jack and Maddie got married and had two children; a daughter named Jazz and who would be his arch nemesis, Danny Fenton who is the ghost hero known as Danny Phantom (How original). Vlad is like Lex Luthor but has actual powers, he has all the same powers that Danny has but his powers are far more developed and is more cunning and experienced then Danny. When Vlad transforms into his ghost form he has a variety of abilities like duplication, phasing, invisibility, flight, developed high resistance to all forms of external physical damage, superhuman strength, durability, agility, reflexes, can teleport, is immune to the vacuum of space, and can overshadow other people to control their actions. Vlad also gain the ability to manipulate ectoplasmic energy, while Danny’s is green while Vlad can use colors of pink, green, turquoise, violet, and blue. He can fire energy blasts, create force fields that can block or reflect enemy attacks, he can channel ecto-energy through his fists to enhance his strength strong enough to punch through solid concrete, can create solid constructs like cages, rackets, swords and etc., can absorb an opponent's ghost rays and redirect them back at the opponent, can use an ability called Ghost Stinger where Vlad becomes a living taser by sending out ecto-energy in the form of electricity through physical contact which drained Danny all of his energy to the point where he almost changed back to human form, and Vlad can create Ghost Tornadoes by spinning himself which can deflect any ectoplasmic energy and creates huge wind gusts. Vlad is perhaps or is Danny’s most dangerous enemy, his intellect is genius-level, he’s a master strategist, and an experienced combatant as before he met Danny has fought against other powerful specter like beings. Danny can learn a thing or two from Vlad if Vlad wasn’t greedy powerful bastard who wants his mom; he became one of the richest men on the planet, can use half of his abilities like his ghost rays while in human form, strong enough to punch the ghost Behemoth with ease, can create an army of himself, created a female clone of Danny called Danielle, became mayor of Amity Park, tricked city into viewing Danny Phantom as a menace, humiliated and replaced Danny briefly, and he… accidently created Dark Danny in an alternate timeline. Vlad is powerful but has his own weaknesses to boot; He's arrogant and egotistical which explains his Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He is sometimes too overconfident in his abilities which surprisingly is why he loses, like that time he lost to Jack Fenton in a fist fight. He is also very emotional and is obsessed with Danny’s mom, so far as to naming his cat Maddie… kinda creepy…

“I have experience, my child, and the money and power attained through using those powers for personal gain, you see. I could train you, teach you everything I know, and all you'd have to do is renounce your idiot father!”

Miss Martian – Member of Young Justice and the Teen Titans. Miss Martian’s origin is a little vague and some parts unclear but I’ll do the best I can. On Mars there are two different races of Martians who are distinguished by their differing world-views. The Green Martians are peaceful philosophers, while the White Martians are vicious warriors. When the White Martians began massacring their Green cousins, one White Martian family feared for their daughter’s safety. Born as M'gann M'orzz, M'gann's parents sent her on a rocket to the Vega system to escape the civil war, the system where Earth is. M'gann learned that another Green Martian refugee, J'onn J'onzz aka Martian Manhunter, had escaped the White Martian tyranny and had established himself on Earth. As a White Martian she has the ability to shapeshift and M'gann pretended to be a Green Martian because White Martians were known to have a reputation for their villainy. M’gann sought to restore and begin the possibility that her race can be agents of good and not only of evil. She eventually finds J’onn and J’onn discovers the truth of her heritage and allows her to continue her quest for retribution while maintaining her respect for him by keeping the same green skin color. Shortly one year after the Infinite Crisis event, M’gann adopting her human form as Megan Morse and her super hero form as Miss Martian, Megan meets the Teen Titans and becomes a member after a rough start. As a Martian, besides being stronger and denser than a human, Miss Martian's primary ability is shape-shifting. This includes altering her physical appearance to become another's identity, can also transform into animals or give herself animal parts, can give herself elastic abilities like using her arms as whips to grab things over a distance or growing extra arms, can change her blood type, alter her size, camouflage with her surroundings, and adapt to almost any environment. She also possesses the ability to shift her density to phase through solid objects, she can read and communicate through people’s minds with telepathy to understand any language, and telekinesis to lift objects and give herself the ability of flight. As a Martian when she shape shifts she can also change her voice to mimic the person she’s posing as. Her Martian abilities also give her Infared, X-Ray, Electro-Magnetic Spectrum, Telescopic, and Microscopic Vision. She can project rays or blasts of concentrated thermal energy, regenerate, self-sustain, and possesses superhuman speed, endurance and strength. Miss Martian is also trained in hand to hand combatant by Black Canary, who is a master at Boxing, Savate, Judo, Aikido, Jujitsu, Wing Chun, Tae Kwon Do, Capoeira, Dragon Style Kung Fu, and Hapkido just to name a few. Her mind powers are probably her biggest trump card, in terms of raw power, her telepathy is on a level beyond Martian Manhunter himself who can read the minds of everyone on Earth. With her telepathy she can create illusions, control the thoughts and actions of others, erase or restore and alter the memory of others, put others to sleep or temporarily paralyze others, can reprogram people's minds (Jesus Christ that’s scary!), can feel and detect the mind of others, can project a powerful "Mental blast" than can hit a target mentally or leave it unconscious, and can generate "Mental shield" in her and other people's minds to prevent mental manipulations. What’s also cool about Megan is that her costume is Organic and can change size, shape and color in response to her mental commands. We haven’t even talked about her White Martian form, while Green Martians were peaceful White Martians were violent warriors, hell a group of White Martians almost killed every member of the Justice League until Batman incinerated them like the badass he is. In her true White Martian form while not violent M’gann appearance is terrifying; she is an angular, white-skinned, hairless humanoid with glowing red eyes and a long, barbed tail. Her powers are crazy as her mind powers surpassed Psimon’s, beat the assassin Cheshire in hand to hand combat, defeat Bombshell who is a nuclear-charged super-hero and a younger female counterpart to Captain Atom, over powered her evil future self who merged with her, while posed as Star-Spangled Kid won The Dark Side Club Tournament which is a night club where the rich gamble on fights between Metahumans, monsters, and demi-gods and she freed the heroes under the control of the Clock King, and posed as Tim Drake during a public speaking event and took a bullet for him and healed herself in that same day. She’s a sweet, caring badass but has her flaws as well, she’s still naïve when it comes to earth customs and she is very emotional and sensitive when she thinks she’s offended someone or if her feelings are hurt. She has a history of leaving and rejoining the team because of her mind powers, she has a vow where she won’t read into the minds of good people and is uncomfortable with her telepathy, as on Mars, it is the prime form of communication. Her main weakness however is fire, Martians are much more vulnerable to fire than the average Earth human as both physical, psychological, or a combination of the two. Her Martian physiology is also susceptible to pressure, when underwater the underwater pressure caused her to shrink in size. She may be inexperienced and still has a lot to learn, but she is the best friend and ally to have and definitely someone not to mess with

“I don't want you hurting any more Earth people. That wouldn't be nice.”

I might have to give this to Miss. Martain due to physicality, abilities, and mind powers are enough to screw over Vlad!

First off the battlefield is going to play a huge factor in this fight, especially if it's a large space with places to hide. The first thing people would say in this would be the miss martian would just to shut down his mind but remember this is Vlad we are talking about. He has a incredibly strong will and due to his biology might be one of the few that she would have a tough time reading. That being said Miss Martian could be the victor here. Will I usually go for experience in the older combatant miss martian has fought a very diverse group of villains and is physically stronger, faster and more durable than vlad. This will be a long destructive and extremely taxing brawl but it ends with vlad blacked out and miss martian regenerating on her way home.

This is awesome. And now, to analyze who I think will win.
Round 1: Physicality-I'm not going to waste too much time here. At the end of the day, Vlad is still part human and is susceptible to injury if he takes enough damage. His physical traits are admitted above an average human's, but it doesn't change the fact that M'Gann is clearly superior to him. Not only can she take more damage, she can also hit harder too. It can be argued that Vlad could match her speed, but it won't matter if she can take the worst of his assault. He might not go down as quickly as most, but physically overpowering Miss Martian is outside the realm of possibility. Miss Martian gets the physical edge.
Round 2: Martial Arts Abilities-This is pretty easy to call too. While Vlad has demonstrated that he does know how to fight hand-to-hand well, but it is never made clear what forms of martial arts he actually knows. By contrast, Miss Martian was trained by the expert martial artist Black Canary, so it stands to reason she adopted many of the fighting styles Canary knows into her attack sequences. Bottom line: Vlad tries fighting hand-to-hand with M'Gann, and he's screwed. After all, he's been beat less experienced martial artists like Danny, and he's nowhere near Canary's level, who I would put just one tier below Batman in terms of martial arts skill. Miss Martian gets the comfortable edge for her martial arts.
Round 3: Unlike the last two rounds, this one has less of a gap, but there is still a significant one to determine who wins. Let's get the similar powers out of the way. Obviously, they have superhuman physical stats, flight, intangibility, and invisibility. But even here, Vlad is slightly more limited. Not only does he lose the superhuman stats contest, but Miss Martian surpasses him in everything else as well. While Vlad can only become intangible, Miss Martian can become denser if need be. Granted, this is not her forte, but I don't consider it an unlikely possibility, as Martian Manhunter can do it, sometimes increasing his strength to match Superman's. Then there's ability to become invisible, and this might not be as important, but I still want to point out that Vlad can only become invisible, while Miss Martian can completely camouflage with her surroundings. Now to talk about powers that are unique to them. In Vlad's corner, he has his Ecto-Powers, Teleportation, Duplication, and Overshadow. In the other corner, Miss Martian has her shape shifting, enhanced vision, regeneration, and mind powers. So, who has the advantage here? In the long run: Miss Martian again. Most of Vlad's Ecto-Powers that can help him, but not all of them. This most notable with his energy absorption, which only works on ghost energy. We don't know if it can absorb other kinds of energy. His Ghost Shield won't help either, since M'Gann can just phase through it. As far as his energy shields and strikes go, he could use them to keep her at bay or score some good hits, but M'Gann could just regenerate from the worst of it. His other abilities like crating solid constructs could throw her off initially, as his Ghost Stingers or Tornadoes, but it would take him much longer to score any significant damage. But what about teleportation and duplication, you might ask. Couldn't those confuse Miss Martian at all? Yes, they can, as it will be hard for her to anticipate where Vlad will strike, and then there's the problem of dealing with multiple Vlads at once, as they can act independently if they want to. However, what it really comes down to is whether or not Vlad can effectively use his Overshadow ability on Miss Martian, and ultimately, the answer is no. Miss Martian's mental shield is too strong, and is surpasses other skilled telepaths like Psimon and Martian Manhunter. By contrast, Miss Martian can cause serious damage to Vlad's mind, as he has no defense against telepathic assaults. M'Gann would read him like a book as easy as pie. We haven't even discussed her other abilities, like her shape shifting, which can help her change her appearance in any way necessary to gain the upper hand against Vlad; and her enhanced vision, which will help her find Vlad no matter where he goes, especially if he tries to run away, which it might very well come to. In short, while they do have very diverse and well developed abilities, Vlad's can only prolong the fight, while Miss Martian's can help her win the fight. Miss Martian gets the edge for her powers.
Round 4: Tactics-This is the one round that I deem being hard to call. While both are smart fighters, we have to take into account how naive Miss Martian is, though this isn't likely to impact the match much, since she's still a good ass kicker. However, she is still inexperienced and learning, even though she is technically older than Vlad (I believe in the Young Justice cartoon, Martian Manhunter stated she was 48-years-old). Then we have to consider Vlad's intellect and strategic mind. On the other hand, though, one thing that always gave him an edge against Danny was because he knew how to toy with him, and it is debatable as to how much success he'd have against Miss Martian in this regard, though I would wager she would be much less susceptible to this than Danny. Plus, many of Vlad's genius plans have been ruined by a lot of simple meddling by Danny, so if his plan falls apart or gets out of hand, Vlad will be serious trouble. Also, I don't see him figuring out Miss Martian's weakness to fire unless it's by accident, sort of like what happened in Freddy vs Jason, where Freddy only found out about Jason's weakness to fire after he got thrown into some pipes. However, M'Gann doesn't know the full extent of Vlad's powers, so she'll want to play cautious until she has a better idea of what she's up against. Therefore, I won't give the tactics advantage to either Vlad or Miss Martian.
Final Verdict:
I think it's obvious which direction I see the wind blowing. Even so, this would still be a very epic fight to see, as it's not only a battle between Paranormal and Extraterrestrial. This is also a battle of the old and the young, something I seem to have a weakness for, being a fan of both Danny Phantom and Young Justice, in addition to Teen Titans and both Avatar shows. But I'm getting off track. I see this fight starting out very slowly, as I think both Vlad and M'Gann would spend the early stage of the fight sizing each other up. It can be debated as to who would adapt first, but I personally think it would be Vlad, since he is a bit more experienced. Once Vlad thinks he has a good idea as to what he's up against, he'll come at M'Gann with everything he's got. Miss Martian would end up falling back on the defensive while Vlad takes advantage of this. Eventually, he would try to back Miss Martian into a corner, and that's when M'Gann would bring her A-game to the fight. Eventually, Vlad would throw out a punch, only to have it intercepted by Miss Martian's hand, who would then proceed to launch him back in the opposite direction. By the time Vlad starts to get back up, M'Gann would already be coming at him, applying her various martial arts training against Vlad, who would be able to contend with her for a time, but not indefinitely. It wouldn't take long for Vlad to see he has to resort to his more advanced powers to win this, and he would start using his Ecto-Powers to their fullest potential. Unfortunately, he wouldn't make much progress, as Miss Martian can just shift her density to keep herself from getting hurt, and even if she does get hit, she can just regenerate from it and keep going. However, Vlad would not give up, and would keep trying to take back control of the fight, trying to off balance M'Gann with his duplication and teleportation abilities. M'Gann would start having some trouble dealing with so many copies of Vlad and have a hard time figuring out where he'd strike from, but she would keep using her powers to find some way to counter them. Eventually, things would take a turn for the worst when Vlad tries to Overshadow her, only to find his efforts unsuccessful. Unable to get past Miss Martian's mental shield, Vlad's efforts would come to a halt, which would frustrate him to no end, as he seldom has to deal with a problem like this. Having just about enough of Vlad, Miss Martian would finally resort to attacking his mind. Before Vlad can gather another thought on how he can best M'Gann, his head would begin to hurt as Miss Martian practically rapes his mind to pieces, knowing everything that defines him. Vlad would see illusions of his failures, his humiliations, his inability to stay on top. Then, his memories would start to get fuzzy as they are erased one by one within minutes, if not seconds. By the time M'Gann has finished her work, the thing before her would no longer be Vlad Plasmius or even Vlad Master II; just an empty shell of a human body.
I declare Miss Martian the winner.

Well, that got a little dark toward the end, but yeah, that's just how formidable I see Miss Martian's mind powers. But what do you think? Did I exaggerate anywhere with my analysis, or do you think it's pretty spot-on for the most part? I'd like to think I described them both well, being a fan of both cartoons I've seen them in. But at the end of the day, this is still your match, and you have the right to decide how accurate or inaccurate my prediction is.

It was long yes but you supported both sides evenly and its your opinion and you've backed it up very well, don't be afraid stating what you believe, its one of the reasons why I like your comments  . I don't think Miss Martian can hurt Vlad physical though since he's a ghost, she's the better fighter but she can probably phase through him. The only thing I can think of that can actually harm Vlad is Miss Martians mind abilities, but can mind powers work on ghosts? She can resist being overshadowed there's no doubt about that, but can she enter the mind of a ghost? I don't see why not but what do you think?

kirk327 In reply to Bluexorcist93 [2018-01-25 17:37:38 +0000 UTC]

I'm going to say yes, because don't forget that Vlad is only half-ghost. There was also the episode Frightmare, where the ghost Nocturn had the entirety of Amity Park asleep. While he did use helmets to keep them asleep, but in the episode, Danny remembers fighting Nocturn and losing before being put to sleep, allowing him to put the helmet on Danny and keep him from waking up until later. Vlad was also put to sleep by Nocturn as well and stayed that way until the end of the episode. So Nocturn did need the helmets to keep them asleep, but he does have the ability to put people to sleep, so Vlad has been exposed to powers similar to Miss Martian's, but he has failed to counter them. Plus, just because they're ghosts doesn't mean they are not capable of thought, and there has been an episode or two where we have seen some of the ghosts removing and re-inserting their brains in and out of their heads. So I must stand by my original verdict. It may be difficult to fight Vlad in a physical contest, but his mind is still vulnerable and very few of his powers will ultimately put down M'Gann.
