Today is the day of the municipal elections in France, so I'm now allowed to publish this portrait of (and commissioned by) the best candidate for the position: Teddy, the pacifist plush bear!

Ever since he was a cub fresh off the toy store, Teddy has dreamed of becoming a leader, but it's only after hearing humans rail against their politicians that he decided to run in elections. Confident about both his charisma and his expertise (although he admittedly has no knowledge in politics), the starry-eyed plush claims he will build a nation where people, toys and stuffed animals will live in harmony together. His first measures will address the constant neglect and abuse towards his kindred; notably, the fluffy candidate promised to pass a law which will prohibit dogs and toddlers from chewing on toys.

The French presidential elections will be held in 2022. In the meantime, Teddy is coveting the function of town Mayor, and he hopes the outcome of today's elections will pave his way to presidency and to, as he puts it, "a brighter era of peace, tolerance, and candy in abundance". The results will be announced in less than 3 hours, and although he admitted being a bit nervous, Teddy also expressed his confidence in human citizens, stating "I'm sure my fellow furless bipeds will do the right choice".
