Well~ here is my first idea for my promotional postcards. I had a hard time picking what girl to use, so I combined two! I decided to do this rather than something completely new, because I have read over and over again that its a bad idea
you end up thinking too much about it. I want something simple, but eye catching....I hope this does just that. Contact information will be on the back of the card, still have not decided if I will spring for two sided color prints or single O_o Also, I left the bleed lines on this.anyway, tell me what you think! Anything I need to add, move, get rid of, I want to know

Personally i would like to see it without the bleed lines as i have to admit i kinda like the way the bleed lines look as a decorative border.
I do have one comment though regarding the anatomy and that is that the back arm from the shoulder to elbow is fatter than the front arm and also the back arm is from shoulder to elbow is slightly longer as well, although could get away with this one. and i guess since this is the same body as the retro crush image i will have to say the same thing about that one aswell
Apart from that I love it, especially that dress design, maybe down the line once you are a popular and hugely successful illustrator you can start your own label

oh man, I really like this idea for a promo postcard. I think that this particular image embodies the type of work you do and the fact that you added the little hearts describing your work also helps. great color usage and I like the expression on her face, it's so cute!
I wanted to ask you, how do you come up with the ideas for your illustrations? I know you draw them but do you usually use an image for reference or do the ideas just come off the top of your head?

as to how I come up with my images, well I combine and mix. Sometimes I have a doodle that I like and just go with it! Other times I have the idea in my head, snap a photo, and then do a sketch with the photo in front of me

well, whatever you do, keep doing it! I know you are not the only illustrator that does this style but I find your art so refreshing and young.

I really try to give my honest critique and not just the generic "that's great" all the time. I know that's what you need and I would expect the same from any person in our profession!

Very nice, I love the design and the colors used. But I agree with Unibomber703, That teal border seems way to vibrant and takes away from the image. I would try a more bland color so it does not distract the viewer from the main portion of the picture.

It looks great, the only thing i can think to change is possibly tone down the teal border, it's sorta distracting. But besides that, great job.
