This reminds me of a painting one of my friend's sketched... a Regency portrait of someone. She's very pretty.

This looks very much like a picture from the 1810s! Her dress is in empire-style (with the high waist) and her pose also reminds me of the greek style wich was popular during that age But maybe you already knew all of this? Its very beautiful, you really have succeded with the folds of the dress

Her body seems disfigured...her waist turned toward you, but I like the coloring...I never seen the movie/read books but I like how you portrayed her.

Rather than disfigured, I think her body seems awkwardly positioned... I took my inspiration from an 18th century painting called: Madame Recamier, by Francois GΓ©rard. The lady, Madame Recamier, has the exact same position, and I always thought it looked very original, so I took the idea and used it for this painting. Thanks for posting your opinion!
