Here is 's entry for my 3rd Annual Halloween Costume Contest featuring my character Aria dressed up as Medusa.
Aria's brother Jessie and her boyfriend Lupe joke often on how when she's angry, Aria's stare could kill. So, she was inspired by those comments to dress up as Medusa for Halloween this year.

Now, every year during Halloween, Aria and Jessie like chaperone for the neighborhood kids back in their old neighborhood for a few hours before they head off to hit a couple Halloween parties with their friends. This year, Jessie was unable to join Aria and her boyfriend Lupe was also unable to join her in chaperoning for their first Halloween together. Aria decided to soldier on without them and in her new costume too. However, this year proved to be different as badger of an old woman had recently moved into the neighborhood and she was not a fan of Halloween. She despised the holiday in fact. So much so that when Aria came around with the kids to get some candy from her, she decided to make an example of Aria.
Turns out the old lady was in fact a witch and getting some inspiration from Aria's costume she cast a spell on Aria and turned her into a real Medusa! And like any Gorgon, Aria's gaze could now turn people into stone!
Wanting to make sure Aria couldn't get away and so that her gaze didn't turn anyone smart enough to pass by her house, the witch put Aria in restraints, gagged her, and placed a blindfold over her eyes. The witch also added a sign to warn anyone who wanted to bother her for candy or dare pull a prank on her and to challenge them, nay, dare them to stare into Aria's eyes.
Eventually, the witch let Aria go when all the kids and their parents went home, allowing Aria a chance to go to a party, but having had too much excitement for the night, Aria decided to simply go home and sleep the experience off.

A fun little comic. ^_^
