Anyone ever noticed that Abrienda and Sam both like to monologue? Yeah, Abrienda's worse than Samantha, by a long-shot. If it weren't for her avid love of medieval torture methods and her excruciatingly violent behavior, you might think that she liked to talk her victims to death sometimes. But, in the end no. She does have tricks up her sleeve. In this case, it's not an area effect spell, but instead something a little more insidious. Let's take all of that background that I was hating on earlier and convert it into thousands of grasping tentacles.

Since Samantha can't afford to leave her alone, she's bound to get caught in the trap. It almost makes you wonder what Samantha could have been thinking in picking a tactic that she has to know Abrienda would be well aware of, instead of one of her more unique spells or non-magical tricks...
