Page 3 is up. You'll notice, possibly, a change in the lines on the lower left. Allow me to introduce you to my new pencil: .3 mm carbide tip ink. I'm trying this out as opposed to the felt-tip Micron archivals I was using, which have a felt tip functionally shaped like a plastic tip. They're good, but I was finding too many splotches. This will take some practice, but I'm getting cleaner and more consistently thin lines as opposed to the overly think lines I'd been getting.
As for the page? Yeaaaah, Samantha is outright outclassed. Abrienda is right. She drew direct, obvious power from consuming her father Valefar and the seeds of evil he'd used to empower her, incorperating their power into herself as a 'full' demon. Spell for spell, she can outpower Samantha without batting an eyelash. No, she doesn't have an easy fix for Invisibility, but she doesn't need one (as those who watched the fight with Loa should remember).

Heh, you'll see. Samantha does have a tendency to overuse Invisibility, sometimes in situations that it's not very wise.

Invisibility is a very tricky ability. On the one-hand, it's game-changing. If a person doesn't have a way around it, it allows for incredibly devastating and unexpected attacks, and if you can't detect where someone is, they can be just absolutely impossible to retaliate against. For such a simple spell, it's cruel and almost overpowered.
But, if you have the way around it, it's also a spell that's very easy to overruse and get complacent with. Never rely on invisibility. Unknown to Abrienda, Samantha isn't.
She just needed a second while Abrienda isn't able to see her so that the demon didn't lash out before she was ready to use her real attack. It was meant to buy seconds, nothing more.

*nod* I think Abrienda could give her a run for her money on cruelty, but mostly because she's simply lost herself to the sheer ecstacy of listening to people's screams and relishes finding ways to get them to the best pitch.
...just to do it.
