before you pass judgement on this peice here, take a look at the origional variation. [link]the observation here is not new. i seem to remember another comic with a similar phrase being used for a wedding vows. there was something more to it and that's why i made this. as i was working on it i got to thinking about what it had to say about both chairacters involved. i desided to make this duplicate of it and make a little change just to see how much the over all tone and meaning would change. and i thought about what that change says about today's society and the expectations for gender.

I'm really liking your typed explanations behind each drawing. (and yes, good call on the changing of which of the two people gets the speech balloon in this particular pair of drawings. I'm reluctant to even ask how many of your viewers went ballistic upon the male-speaks version who were utterly pleased with the female-speaks version. Oy.)

Wow. I've been theorizing about women being sex symbols and men representing money, but these 2 comics kinda make it obvious. With this reassurance, I can actually start materializing this idea into artwork
