Description

Starlight leapt back as she dodged a large blast that crashed on the street, leaving a small, smoking crater, and raised her arms in a fighting position.

“That’s quite a tough tin bucket” the heroine said, looking at the large robot that moved slowly against her, its red eyes glowing menacingly. It looked like a heavy piece of armour and both of its large arms were equipped with blasters, which crackled with energy as it pointed one of them at the heroine and shot a powerful energy blast. Starlight however braced herself and raised her arms in defence, blocking the blast with her metallic, golden bracers. The redhead quickly moved to the offence and dashed towards the mechanical menace, landing a hard blow with her fist, followed by a flying dropkick with her long legs, sending the large machine stumbling backwards and leaving a dent on its hard armour.

“That armour is heavy, but far from indestructible. A few more good shots and I’ll be able to smash it!” Starlight thought with a confident smile when she suddenly heard a cry. She turned around and her eyes widened in shock as she saw a young girl having fallen on the street. The area had mostly been evacuated and the officers had set up a blockade as Starlight had been able to keep the raging machine at bay, but it seemed like that little girl had been separated amidst the chaos.

“I need to get that kid out of here!” Starlight thought agitated as she began to move towards the young girl but she heard a low buzzing. She turned around and saw with fear the machine aiming its blaster towards the little girl that seemed frozen in its place.

“No!” Starlight screamed desperately as she flew at full speed and stood in front of the little girl just as the machine shot an energy blast. Starlight felt as if she had been slammed by a wrecking ball and her back felt like it was on fire. She shut her eyes and clenched her teeth, trying to hold back a hard grunt, but slowly opened her eyes again and offered the trembling girl a small, comforting smile.

“Starlight! Are you okay?” the little girl said.

“Don’t worry sweetie, I’m just fine! It’s okay, I won’t let that stupid robot hurt you!” Starlight said with a steady voice as she got on one knee and wrapped her arms around the trembling girl in a protective hug. The officers kept firing at the ruthless machine but it simply ignored and raised its blaster towards the heroine again, who still held the little girl.

“What should I do? If I fly too quickly she might get hurt! And if block with my bracers, she might still get hurt but the impact. But I can’t take too many shots either” Starlight through, trying desperately to figure out a way out of the predicament as she heard another low buzzing. She kept the little girl close, ready to use herself as a shield and braced herself for another impact, when suddenly she saw a faint, purple glow and then heard a strong thud. She turned around and saw the large machine falling backwards and tumbling on the street with smoke coming from its chest and then noticed with surprise a familiar brunette, covered in purple dress, having her glowing hand raised towards the mechanical menace.

“Is that, Serena? How can this be?” Starlight thought with surprise, before she saw a young police officer running towards her. The heroine flew towards him to cover the distance, still holding the little girl and gave her to him.

“Let me have her! You focus on destroying that thing!” he said with determination, holding the young girl tightly.

“Thanks for the help! Take her to safety!” Starlight smiled gratefully before she turned towards the young girl.

“Don’t worry, you’ll be safe now!” she said softly.

“Thank you, Starlight! You go and beat up that stupid robot! You, and that other strange lady, you can do it!” the young girl said energetically as the young cop took her to safety. Starlight smiled, feeling both relieved and encouraged and turned around, flying towards the large robot and landed at a short distance from the raven haired witch, looking at her cautiously.

“It’s pleasure to see you again, my dear Starlight” Serena smiled smoothly.

“What are you doing here?” Starlight said with a firm voice, looking between her and the robot that slowly rose to its feet.

“I guess you are looking for a different answer than, offering my assistance?” Serena said lightly.

“You are here to help me? Why?” Starlight’s voice was filled with both surprise and distrust as she kept her guard up, ready to fight from two different sides.

“Of course I am! I wouldn’t like this big bad robot to hurt one of my favourite heroines! Besides” Serena said with a charming smile before she turned towards the large robot, and her expression suddenly became cold.

“I don’t take kindly to any piece of scum that would hurt an innocent child!” she continued, her voice filled with contempt and cold, seething fury.

“Not sure if I can trust her, but she does seem honest. Maybe even someone like her might draw the line at some things. Besides, I don’t think I have seen her angry like this before. She’s actually sort of scary!” Starlight thought before she looked towards the mechanical suit of armour that finally stood on its tree like legs and turned its glowing red eyes towards them.

“Fine, let’s take down this stupid bucket together. But if you try any tricks then I’ll smash both of you on my own!” Starlight narrowed her eyes with a serious expression.

“Warning noted. We have reached an agreement then” Serena said with lighter tone, looking towards the tall heroine.

“I guess so. Here it comes!” Starlight said as she took a defensive position, noticing the robotic sentinel shooting a large, blue blast against them. The red haired heroine got ready to block with her bracers but Serena stepped forward and created a purple magical barrier. The blast crashed on the barrier with force and exploded, covering the spot around heroine and the villainess with smoke, but leaving them unscathed. Starlight let out a cry as she flew from the smoke and landed a heavy blow on the large robot, causing sparks to fly as it stumbled backwards. It managed to take a swing with its large arm, striking the heroine in midair, and send it her flying backwards. Starlight grunted from the impact but managed to lessen the force of her impact with her flight and landed on the ground without much trouble. The robotic sentinel shot another blue blast towards Serena, but the villainess managed to block that one as well.

“Let’s try something different, then” Serena said as she covered her one hand with bright flames, while blue sparks appeared on her other hand. The dark haired witch smirked as she put her hands together and shot a powerful, flaming blast covered with electric sparks that landed with force on the large machine, which was stunned as it was burned and electrified at the same. Smoke and flame rose from the robotic sentinel but it was not destroyed yet, instead its red yes glowed menacingly as it put both its arms together, combining both of its blasters and shooting a powerful blast that left cracks on the ground as it flew towards the witch.

“You are a persistent machine, aren’t you? But it will take more than this to take me out!” Serena smirked as she got ready to block the huge blast but her expression turned to surprise as Starlight suddenly flew in front of her. The heroine let out a mighty cry as she stopped the powerful blast with her bare hands, clenching her teeth as she struggled for a moment before she slowly started pushing it back.

“Here, let me return this back to you! Haaaaaahh!” Starlight roared as she pushed the blast and sent it flying back towards the mechanical menace, smashing it with its own attack.

“Impressive! She really is quite powerful” the raven hared witch thought, looking at the determined redhead.

“Not bad at all, my dear Starlight! How about we finish this for good?” Serena suggested lightly as she walked next to the heroine and raised her glowing hand.

“Sounds good to me!” Starlight nodded as she raised her hand, as well. The two of them glanced each other with smiling expressions before they both attacked at the same time, Starlight shooting a golden energy blast, while Serena fired a purple arcane bolt. The two blasts met half way and combined into a larger energy sphere before it crashed into the large machine with force, creating a powerful explosion and completely destroying it, blowing it into a pile of smoking scrap metal. Starlight let out a sigh of relief and turned towards the crowd around them, a small smile on her pink lips as she noticed that everyone was safe and cheered for them.

“We did it, huh?” the heroine tilted her head in surprise as she saw Serena leaving the scene and levitating towards a nearby rooftop.

“Where is she going? What is up to again?” Starlight thought as she flew behind her. She moved cautiously, being aware that she might be flying into a trap, and landed on the tall rooftop, noticing the raven haired witch standing a little further from her spot with her back turned to her.

“Why did you leave like this? You are not trying to isolate me, are you?” Starlight said with suspicious tone as she kept her distance from the cunning witch.

“If wanted to do so, you just made things pretty easy for me. Why did you follow after me?” Serena said with an enigmatic voice.

“I wanted to thank you. I may not agree with your ways, and I certainly don’t trust you, but you did help me over there, and you even protected that young girl. So, thank you!” Starlight said honestly.

“Good grief, you are just so pure and earnest” Serena shook her head, before she turned around and looked at the lovely redhead with a small smile.

“You are welcome! I was just passing by when I heard all this ruckus, and I couldn’t just stand by. Besides, It was interesting fighting alongside you” the dark haired witch said.

“Yeah, I guess it was sort of fun” Starlight nodded, putting her hand on her hip.

“Of course, since I did help you, that means I deserve some sort of reward. Isn’t that right?” Serena said with a teasing smirk.

“A reward, you say?” Starlight said, taken aback from this remark. Serena simply smiled as she stepped slowly towards the heroine, swaying her hips in an alluring way. Starlight kept her guard up but to her surprise she didn’t feel any sort of weakness or sudden warm tingling.

“She’s not using her magic?” she thought as Serena stood in front of her and caressed her softly on her cheek. Without saying a word, she leaned forward and landed a passionate and yet tender kiss, covering the heroine’s plush, pink lips, with her own velvety, red ones Starlight was completely was completely taken aback from Serena’s forwardness and even slightly kissed back, her body moving on her own. The tall redhead started feeling lightheaded before Serena slowly moved away. She gave her another soft kiss on her warm cheek before she gazed her with an alluring expression as she slowly moved back.

“That was an interesting night! Until next time, my dear Starlight!” Serena smiled before she disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke.

“Yeah, next time” Starlight mumbled as she put her fingers on her lips, still feeling a light tingling, as well as the beautiful witch’s sweet taste.

“I really don’t know what to make out of her. She could have used her magic if she wanted, ambush me and make it really hard for me to fight back, but she simply kissed me and then just left. And she did help me during the fight, even if she probably has plans on her own. She does what she wants and is totally unpredictable, and yet even her has her limits. I mean she is dangerous, but she can’t be completely bad” the heroine thought, remembering how angry Serena got before the fight.

“Whatever the case, I can’t drop my guard around her. And I’m pretty sure we’ll meet again” Starlight looked towards the spot where Serena stood before she turned towards the starry night sky and took flight, her mind filled with thoughts about her recent encounter with the alluring and mysterious witch.

Starlight finds herself in a tough spot as she is fighting a powerful robotic sentinel while trying to protect the citizens of Skyland City, but gets a surprising ally as Serena arrives to her aid.
