I was only there for a few days and didn't know the area. It was a very long time ago. So I cannot remember where it was. Some of the shop names may give a clue.

I liked Hong Kong best when it was a Crown Colony. Now it has lost all its charm.

I am not a great fan of colonies, but the mainland has certainly had its problems. Those of wealth (pollution, social division) seem almost as bad as those of poverty.

Problems that will only get worse. The colonial era filled a vacuum at a time in history. I think the Middle East was a saner place under colonialism. Today, no one can govern their own passions. What a mess.
