Description i finally had to do my own experiments with photography of liquids, here's what came out. what do you think?

adjusted levels/curves, desaturated a little and added border & logo.

p.s. nevermind the cursing in the title... while shooting this, i accidentally got hurt, and there was blood... i'm fine though.

edit: had to clear this up, sorry you have to see this again... me getting hurt only led to the title, not the photograph. in other words: no actual blood in this shot...

that's cool - mostly because it's not one of these completely symmetric dropshots ... the angle and the off-centered lighting give this picture really a twist. i like it ...

for me it was the other way around... i was in my bathtub taking photographs when i accidentally hurt myself while climbing out of it...
my mood after that helped think of a title... still, i wouldn't want that to happen again...

it too me 100+ to find out i really had to use a flash. i used a table lamp out of my room to light the scene at first, but as i had to use a very short exposure time it wasn't enough. i've never used the flash before (as i'm still a newb to photography), so it wasn't too obvious.

once i got that it probably took another 100 until i found one i liked. there were many other "styles", different angles/colors/... with this particular setup the photograph is one out of about 10.

in total, there were about 3 shots i considered worthy of upload. but you know, it was the first time i captured water in motion, so i nearly like every shot that's in focus. that's why i limited myself to uploading this one for now.

it was fun, and i'm sure there'll be more water experiments...

Superb mate! The red is a little pale on the edges, but I love it! Is it colored water (blood would oxydise in a few minutes, so if it is blood, kudos on the quick work!) or what? Great shot, shockwave like...reminds me of a pic of a nuclear fallout .

i never said it was blood (at least that's what i think, might be my english ), and edited the description to explicitly say it's not.

i had this idea at LA palace, around the time i captured *creatyves 's toy car... so what is it? will we ever know? ...

fist tought it would be just colored water, but then when i read the info and got to know that it's real blood it was pretty surprising !! this makes it unique, because almost any other scary blood shots have been made with artificial blood or just colors. so congrats on accidentially hurting you . it would also make a good story if you would tell us how it happened!!

first i thought also, that it was too dark, but then i decided that this matches the "dark artist scene" perfectly. so enough. great shot man!!!

i know the feeling so well
my snowboarding pants lost the zipper connector piece near the bottom, so i connected it with a safety pin. well... can't say it was the brightest idea....
it came off and went about an inch into my heel.
