Description Chie stepped close, her hips touching Yousuke's as the words suddenly jumped from her tongue, almost without her bidding:

“I'd rather not have anything at all,” she murmured, “than not have you.” And she rose up on her toes, to press her mouth to his in a soft and sealing kiss.

She had had no intention of lingering there against his lips as they stood together on the path, but for some reason, she did, as fervently as if this were the last time she'd be able to spend such a peaceful and perfect moment in the embrace of his love.

She wrapped her arms fiercely around his neck as he did the same with his arms around her waist, the brief second of their kiss extending out to perhaps a minute or more as she felt a sudden wind swirl about them, rustling the autumn leaves up from the ground and around them. If they'd been standing in Mayonaka and not on the familiar path to the ryokan that she knew so well, she almost would have thought that he'd cast a spell of Garudyne about them, to corkscrew up along the odd pillar of their conjoined bodies, ruffling the edges of her skirt and their hair, pushing them closer together and stealing the air from their lungs.

As it was, she felt a dizzying rush in her brain as she finally stepped back onto her heels, his mouth clutching to hers until the very last moment. And when they parted, they both gave a long exhalation, as if they'd been holding their breath against a whirlwind much more powerful than the spiraling breeze that still curled around them.

Very late submission for the 2011 #Persona-pairings theme week (Thursday, "Autumn Wind"). I know that I already did a submission for this particular theme, but I've been wanting to draw this somewhat magical moment (the scene quoted above, that is) from my P4 flash-forward story "1 More Chance!" for a long time. (This scene takes place in Chapter 54 .)

The original is a pretty small drawing (about 5" high), so some of the details are lacking, especially in the faces. But I was hoping to save my Prismacolor flesh-tone pencils for a while!

Hope you enjoy!

Oh god, Mayumi.. This is so awesome! I love it so much.
The expressions of their faces are so lovely. They seem to be so lost in this moment

Thank you! And thank you for the , too! I really appreciate it, especially since visual art is not my strong suit.

They are a little bit lost in each other! I'm glad that that shows through, even with the lack of facial detail. (It was hard to get my outline marker in those tiny spaces!)

So glad that you like it! Thank you again!

Oh wow...!!
This is so beautiful, Mayumi... You really did excel yourself with this one. It's breathtakingly romantic, wow.
You improved! Not only the visual aspect (that a lot, and I think everyone would notice it-) but also the feelings that you could convey here! I envy you, you really can do both, erotic and fluffy pairing art. Well, you DID invite smuff, basically. ;u;

This here is definitely one of my favorites from the Autumn Day. >///< everything about it is so perfect, the little scene of your fic fits so well with how you apparently had it in your head, so dreamy and romantic... I love that autumn is usually a rather cold season, so the cuddliness of their pose here works wonderful!
I love how Yosuke really is the man, here. his anatomy looks fine. your designing with clothes is awesome, too! The shoes I love especially! <3

All the colors are so lovely, fall definitely has my favorite set of colors to begin with, and they work so well with Chie and Yosuke's designs. I loooooove the leaves' composition and how they add so much atmosphere to those two!

Mayumi....! This is one of your best yet! And your most romantic, in my opinion! I love this so much, and I'm glad you finished this!

Thank you! And thank you for the , too!

I had so much fun making this one, and I'm so glad that others are enjoying it, too. Composition is busy, and the details are lacking, but I liked doing something kind of simple and full-bodied (and clothed! ) for a change. I actually modeled the outfits after my own wardrobe, so it wasn't hard to figure out how it all looked. (Those little boots are sitting in our foyer right now!) And I like making Chie sporty, as you say...but I also love making her "squishable" and a little girly, too. ("Squishable." I grin every time I read that word. But that's definitely what she is!)

This was what I had wanted to do for the theme week from the beginning, back when you announced it, and I'm relieved I was able to finish it at least sort of close to deadline. I'm really happy especially that others are finding a little bit of joy in it, too. It is such a lovely theme.

I overdo this pair, I know, but they make me happy...especially when I get to translate some of my story for them into visual art, which tends to get more of a response from people. Ah, well. To each her own, right?

Soooo...freakin....adoreable!!
Your work never ceases to amaze. I wish I could borrow whatever talent or time you have to produce such pieces so I could smite this apparent block Im stuck on and produce something even half as good.

Once again, this is

Aw, thanks!

Getting past creativity blocks is really just mind over matter. Every writer I know at some point has the issue where we don't want to write (there's always other things to do in a day!), but we force ourselves to sit down and make the magic happen on the page. Sometimes "the magic" is shit, no doubt (), but we can't let the process of creation stop. Does that make sense?

Good luck! You're not alone out there!

Your quite welcome!

And you do make quite a bit of sense. Perhaps you said it best earlier when you said to apply my skills anyway and not give two shits about what everyone else thinks.
Do you always follow the same oath?

I do, actually.

It's sometimes difficult to just suck it up and write my way through those times. And sometimes (often) I scrap what I have written and start a scene over again from the beginning, when the right flow and words do come to me, but the important part is not giving up.

You can always go back and change bits and bobs in editing or rewrites...once you've written. Nearly every story goes through rewrites, so you're not alone when you struggle your way through a dialogue or scene or chapter or story.

To be honest, there are always going to be people out there who don't like your story or your art or whatever. But there are going to be people out there who do like it, too. If you write for yourself, though, what makes you happy...well, it won't matter what anyone else thinks. ("F--k 'em!")
