where as I'm not going to say full veiw please! you might want to. I think its good either way nyahaha.. ^-----^This has got to be one of my bigest acomplishments. backgrounds have always been a phobia for me, but I finaly decided to sit down and focus on one. and I did. ^----^ and might I say, I am incredibly proud.

edit: I defined Arlea's nose. my dad pointed it out and it kept buging me till I fixed it. so, its sorta better now ^-^

wow, the full view is definietly worth it, the foot on the book is a little silly, doesn't really seem possible..but it is cute.. ^_^

yeah.. the way I made this was I did the BG line art completely on one page and then the characters on another.. but I made the characters purposely larger and I drew faint lines of the BG onto that sheet exaxtly twice as big.. the theory was to draw the characters twice as big, scan them in and size it in half.. but somehow that didn't work. on the twice as large BG, his foot wasn't supposed to reach the floor, his heal was supposed to be against the wall, so his foot would kind of have to be turned up like that.. but when I matched up the folds of their outfits with the real BG, his foot was on the ground.. so I had to make it look .. ok, so I changed the positioning of one of the books (*kisses photoshop* ) to justify it somehow >,<

You've got awesome line art. Unlike most of us, you're one of the few that don't need to do the forms first and to be honest, you're really good. Your coloring is unique...very beautiful; compositions are wonderful and they look well thought out, although I'm pretty sure that you just put the pencil on the paper and everything magically appears where it should be...hehe.
Everything you do is very inspirational.

*blushes heavily* hehe, I wish all of that were true. but I still have to work very hard at anything I do.. then again, I guess that isn't a bad thing. It gives me plenty of time to contemplate things on the characters, and the story behind whatever I'm trying to do. (this one got more than enough ^-^ ) but I'm very glad to hear all of that, coming from someone as good as yourself.

I really like the depth and the warmth that this piece of work envokes, the textures that are there really give it it's own style. There is one thing that bothers me though, the branches don't quite look right to my eye, they should get progressively smaller instead of getting wider right before the branches split. I really like the feel of the whole thing though, it reminds me of a dream sequence.
