ok, just to put it out there, i'm completely in love with Brave. it's currently my favorite animated movie and I can't get enough. so, here for your delight and mine, is the most wonderful couple: Fergus and Elinor.this was sprung from Elinor's line, "Your father doesn't believe in magic" which is something i found very interesting, and rather charming about their relationship. That even though Elinor is refined composed one, she's also the two of them who believes in magic. this says to me that under her controlled demeanor, there's this whimsical side to her that looks for such things, a cute contrast to crazy boorish,and yet loveable Fergus.
for this reason, upon seeing a wisp, while Elinor is thoroughly enchanted by it, Fergus is startled and doesn't know how accept what he's seeing. the mighty bear king cowering behind his strong beautiful queen

i hope you like this! they are my favorite couple and i'm glad i could make some art for them. i hope the background isn't to much. i kinda think it is... but hakuna matata enjoy!

I so agree! She was my favorite character in that movie. she matured and changed just as much as her daughter. And their relationship was wonderful. I'm really happy that the film makers decided to focus on that

lol, tis the curse of a king, fearing what he doesn't understand. that was always something i loved about their relationship, they were both wild in their own ways: he in his personality and fighting spirit, and she in her belief in magic and such. ^^ they're cute that way

Beautiful work, they're one of my favorite animated couples too, right up there with Cornileus and Frachesca.
I like the background, it fits the tone of the rest of the work, mysterious and wonderful. Both Ferguson and Elinor are so detailed.

thank you! i was especially pleased with how their detail came out, elinor and fergus's hair particularly was a lot of fun ^^ and i'm glad you like the background, seeing as i was a little worried that came off as being a bit too much.

I notices you threaded Elinors grey streak with some brown, very realistic, and i loved the lighting and how it was comeing off the whisp so elagantly
