There's nothing more surreal then sipping a venti latte at Saint Starbucks while a typhoon rages outside.This is from the most recent typhoon to hit Taiwan, Jangmi.
There are a couple more pictures of typhoon Jangmi on my blog.
Hmm...this is what New Orleans needs...more Safe Havens...more Starbucks.

I spend way too much time there...in fact, I just posted a dozen photos from Saint Starbucks in my blog ([link] ).
But it does make for a good place to take street photos and because I'm there so much everyone knows me and no one seems to mind.

Hah, I live in England and we complain when we have a bit of wind, it's silly. I love watching other countries with their weather and how easily they deal with it. Lovely photo, the lighting is fantastic

Yeah I was born & raised in Southern California and it was the same deal. A couple of rainy days would bring the world to a halt.

hehe yeah, there's what....6 inches of snow and London comes to one massive stand still....its a real pain in the arse, especially when I went to work one day and couldn't get home because buses and trains stopped, took me 7 hours to walk home.

And believe me, typhoon Jangmi and my wife making me go to Starbucks in the middle of it because everything else was closed and she wanted something to eat was not fake.
Btw, if you ever want to go out in a typhoon, don't take an umbrella. It instantly becomes a flying projectile.
