It's a really, really nice to say. but I can guarantee you a 150% that such is absolutely not true.
You can say that "yes, we all are." but that's based on the idea that every human being deserves equal rights. Sure! That's a legitimately good idea, but the rights, and privileges, that you may have do not suit, help, or are even fair anybody else, other than you.
The concept of "the common good" is an attempt at pleasing the biggest crowd in a given issue, but never in history has there been, and will never be, a case where everybody (literally) is pleased with a given choice.
you have the right to a family (anybody in a nice country does too). Great for you! Is it also fair that truly aggressive, greedy, or even murders get one too? I'm not talking about ethics here; I'm talking about putting other people in danger, pain, and even misery.
If we were all equal, then the feminist extremists would be right about saying "all men are the cause of all the evil in the world because they're all the same," and killing all men would, therefore, be the solution to all the evil in the world...
...but that's not the case, and it goes back to the fact that no one, in this case no man, is the same to another one.
Being equal is also impossible because God, or nature if you so please, never meant humans to be the same in any way conceivable. It's not hard to understand that, because it is reflected in our behaviour:
-read two works of fiction, one where the characters have monotonic attributes, and the other with characters diverse as the colours of the rainbow, now tell me which one do you enjoyed the most.
Imagine now a world where everybody really is equal to one another:
Everybody would like the same kind of music,
the same kind of games,
the same kind of movies,
the same procedures,
it would be either all homosexual, or heterosexual,
only one skin colour,
no nations...
no disabilities,
only one culture,
no kings,
no presidents,
no prime ministers,
only one ideology,
only one approach to facts,
only one language,
only one body shape,
the same issues all over the world,
the same mentality,
evey human would have an account in youtube, hotmail, or deviantART, with the same username,
and the same kind of work,
...
the list goes on and on...
the most important one would be:
there would be World Peace.
Now, look at the real world, and tell me if that's the case.
I do not mean to be rude with you, but to say that "everybody is equal" is something you can only find in epic fantasy novels of the highest fiction possible. Still, the concept remains beautiful.
