the final piece for my show; THANK GOODNESS. it opens tomorrow... heh.anyway, i did this piece because i've been telling my friend that i'd do some work with his poetry for about a year now and i finally got around to it last night. i'm fairly pleased with how it turned out... simple, yet interesting (i hope... cuz sometimes ANYTHING can look interesting at 5:30 am after a full night of work). I used acrylics, black ink, some gesso and the type is printed out, cut up and glued on. there, now you have all my secrets.

i like how the poem and the imagery reflect each other (like the chair missing legs and the last line of the poem). i wish i could see a little more of the figure though.
