I'll give you a hint: if you look only at the bottom center of the photograph it will be familiar to you...

THIS IS JUST CRAZY!! the first thing that came to mind was a quote from Gladiator when the slaves see the Coliseum for the first time: "I didn't know men could make such things." I am awed beyond belief by what you've made here .___.

Thank you for this enthusiastic comment! It feels nice to go beyond the obvious shot once every so often... And to receive such great comments afterwards!

It's actually a 360Β° panoramic HDR, made by stitching 70 photographs (the software does this though... I could never!)

Thank you for your comment!

You're making me speechless lately with all these stupendous works of yours!!! (Well, I guess I just found something to say, even though the state of owe which is temporarily preventing me from saying anything constructive...)

BriceChallamel In reply to AdayaJuran [2008-12-16 11:05:36 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad you enjoy this one too! The effect was "cute" in my apartment, but I think it's much more interesting in a 2 meter high corridor of a scaffolding... Can't wait for you to see "Paris Burning" and tell me what you think!

AdayaJuran In reply to BriceChallamel [2008-12-17 01:46:34 +0000 UTC]

I love the whole series! I could pick between them, each is powerful on it's own terms, and your words of course. They all also go together so I favored them all, I commented this one as it was the optimistic one and I was feeling pleasant at the time hehe

These are just stunning and AMAZING! Visually, technically, conceptually anything else you would like to add?!
I really mean 'amazing' as they amazed me I couldn't tell how they were made and what of, but I could tell that there as a lot of work behind them, especially with the camera. I dont know why, but when people actually manually create something with the camera as the tool and not so much the computer I tend to appreciate the work even more. Im all for photoshop and it's wonders, dont get me wrong, but it really amazes me and touches me when someone creates something so out of reality WITH reality.

"Paris Burning" I already gilmpsed at, but since you mantioned it, I will go and give it more attention.

Im slowly discovering all those posts of yours I missed by not visiting DA often.

fish eye?? it's my photographic dream!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

BriceChallamel In reply to davcoccio [2008-12-12 20:09:03 +0000 UTC]

No, stitching of... well... 26 (panoramic) x 3 (HDR) = 78 shots! But I'll be honest, that part is the easiest as the software does most of the stitching very well by itself (I use Autodesk Stitcher), so don't let it impress you...

Incredible.
Simply incredible, no other words needed.
Not only by the amount of photos you used, not only by the amount of effort you put into the picture.
The atmosphere is unique.
Gorgeous view.
