Description
In a little patch of woodland between UW Madison and Lake Mendota (the larger of Madison WI's two lakes) I found myself surrounded by chipmunks. Now you might not think that very exciting but I'd never seen a chipmunk before and there were literally hundreds of them running this way and that. Some even ran right up to my feet. Then it started raining and I had to hurry off to where I was meeting the rest of the group for dinner before I got soaked (I failed in this endeavor). Nonetheless, I had acquired a 'Wisconsin' t-shirt so I was content.
