Description
Brijeka travels far into the future to cosplay as a soldier of the Tempian Armed Forces where the Tempians (or Tenari, whichever you prefer) have genetically modified themselves into post-humans and begun colonising the stars. Well, she can't really cosplay standing over two meters tall, weighing upwards of ninety kilograms (excluding equipment), finishing adolescence around forty and possessing far improved mental capabilities over a normal human of today but she can damn well try! So Brijeka has become Private Beaver (a play on her first initial 'B' and the fast half of her last name 'Vervix', i.e. 'Pvt B.Ver') to defend Tempian soil and possibly brutalise alien invaders.

This space setting is still very WIP (as is everything else I guess)

Far into the future, the post-human descendants of the Tempian/Tenari culture have spread to the stars. This might sound impressive but they have really only colonised a few dozen habitable worlds (not many in the context of the setting) and are surrounded on nearly all sides by hostile aliens and other species of post human. Fortunately the Tempians are quite technologically and tactically advanced compared to many of their larger neighbours and have proved themselves resilient to several attempts at subjugation. They have also managed to join the nearby Commonwealth of Aliens for extra protection given their minuscule size compared to most others.

The Tempian soldier:
The Tempian soldier is a fully paid professional who has received extensive combat training and is equipped with the best and most practical gear appropriate to his or her role.
Smart Goggles provide advanced targeting data for the trooper allowing them to fire with great accuracy and identify targets over vast distances.
Armour is light weight and durable, featuring multiple hard points for gear.
K99 Plasma Rifle utilises three stage ammunition: an outer plasmarised casing which softens the target's armour and shields, a solid perpetrator to punch through said armour and an internal plasma charge which disintegrates on impact sending a jet of really hot stuff shooting through the target's body usually causing serious damage. Highly accurate and effective at both short and long range.
