I was trying some alien concept sketches but they weren't working out so I decided to colour this older picture instead:

Infantry form the bulk of the (space) Tempian armed forces for their light weight and versatility, often being part of air mobile units. Infantry can also go lots of places regular vehicles cannot, like the interiors of buildings (without destroying walls) or exceptionally rough terrain. Of course, Tempia maintains a plethora of armoured fighting vehicles as well but their forte is in elite infantry warfare and they have a growing reputation in the Commonwealth for operating exceedingly well in difficult terrain with little supply against dangerous insurgent forces.

By and large, Tempian infantry forces are fast and hard hitting (particularly Spec-Op units), able to eliminate key enemy assets with little warning then pull back into cover before any reprisals and excel in insurgencies or counter-insurgent warfare. Of course, they would struggle to take on enemy heavy armour without their own dedicated armoured or anti-armour support but it is unlikely such an engagement would occur anyway if the Tempians could help it.

Weaponry:
Most Tempian armed forces use predominantly plasma-kinetic weaponry (plasma shielding affords solid round better penetration against armour and causes more damage to targets inside) for its long range, exceptional accuracy and damage output. This is used in rifles, machine guns, handguns, cannons and anti-tank guided weaponry.

The K99 Plasma-Kinetic Rifle is the standard assault rifle of the Tempian armed forces and can reliable incapacitate power armoured units at range. May carry an under-slung grenade launcher. Brijeka here also carries a holstered handgun, combat knife and grenades. Other members of her section would carry a machine gun, battle rifle, sniper rifle and or anti-tank weapon as well.

Armour and uniform:
Made from complex composites and a durable weave, Tempian infantry armour is rated against mundane anti personnel weapons (as in, it would defeat standard kinetic or energy rounds but combinations or rounds designed for armour piercing would defeat it), comfortable and light weight. Save for the smart goggles, the armour requires no power source and is correspondingly slim. Many pouches and hard points are included to carry as much gear as possible so as to operate for longer without re-supply.

Smart goggles include advanced targeting features to assist in identifying and eliminating hostiles in all conditions. Linked to gun sight so soldiers know exactly where they are aiming. Also used in vehicles.
