Faber Castell polychromos its a waxy oily finish you get from them it did'nt come out as good from the scanner I think the light reflected a bit off the shinny finish

are they easier to work with then the prisma color pencils??

I've no idea . I've only done two with colour pencils .Its the first time I've used coloured pencils . I did them on Bristol board it is may be to smooth for those pencils a bit shinny , glossy .I'm doing one just now on heavy cartridge paper and its totally different , more a matt finish

I know the prisma color ones are glorified crayons and are tough to work with and get the colors to blend.Your work seems perfectly blended and has a nice smooth look to it

I put it down quite hard and rub it with a cloth to try to blend it, just experimenting.

I'm quiet heavy with the pencil . then I have to rub hard with the cloth . you can see the cloth marks on Nicholas's nose. some of my failed attemps I was trying a tiny drop of turps on a paper towel to see if that would blend . I just try anything. theres no set rules (what every works) oh I should make that my new moto
