Description Well, while I'm fidgeting with all the suggestions and any obstacles my programms throw at me, here's a little niche filler....my first attempt with rendering dynamic clothing in Poser 6.

I'm pretty happy at how it turned out, actually.

Enjoy!

I she.. Balancing on her right toe?

Yep, she is. trying to balance, that is (not counting the fact that the "photographer", in this case, me, sort of missed to set her foot down to ground....)

I really really like what you have done here. I think adding the real life touch with the lighting and backdrop make a perfect rendering! Great Work!

How have you been??

Very nice render, looks like you've grasped dynamic clothing! I was just wondering, did this use ambient occlusion?? Because it certainly looks like it. Nothing here to fault!

Thankies! *s* When you already have dynamic clothing, it doesn't seem to be that difficult. I guess revamping conforming to dynamic clothing will make me cuss *L*
And if I remember right I did add AO to the image, but I'm not too sure. But I think I did

Nevare In reply to brokenangel [2005-07-28 19:12:42 +0000 UTC]

Haha! I think I tried converting converting conforming into dynamic cloth ONCE and it just did not turn out right at all! On the AO front.. it definitely looks like you did. Did you use the default settings?? I've found those tend to be nasty! (0.47 or whatever max distance tends to give false shadows) Have you checked out Olivier's AO tutorial on RuntimeDNA? [link]

*L* Same here, I tried the MFD and it so didn't work right!

Yep, I think it was the default settings, still learning that one, along with IBL. Already seen and read the tute from Olivier, that man is awesome!

Yeah he is -.- If only I knew even half as much as him, it'd be something like 5 times what I know now!! Dynamic cloth can be a bitch to get right, especially if some of the figure parts interact and there's dynamic cloth there (like around the armpit area with a shirt or something) and then that bit ends up going complete calooey and you end up with polygons flying here and there Maybe the Cinema4D cloth dynamics will be easier to work with.. It's material system certainly ain't!

Haven't been as far as encountering problems yet, but trust me, that'll happen sooner or later *L*

And I think she is rather adventurous, to walk around in something that opaque like this

Well, I've never used dynamic clothing but I think you've mastered it very good. I like it, it reminds me of a shot for a fashion magazine.

Thankies, I tried for something like that. Gonna try even more in the future, since I really like the flow of that clothing.

The shoes are sexy. One thing though, the shadow should be touching the bottom of her heels aswell. It looks like she is standing on her tippy toes and that is why. The clothes look amazing. The wrinkles in the fabric turned out nicely.

As for the shadows, yep, noticed that, too, after I uploaded. Will pay more attention to them the next image (I always note such things after I think I'm done and uploaded it...)

Hmm think you missed a bit on the title - it should read "A Foxy Lady..."

Izzat Vicky or Jessi?

It's Vicky

soullessflyer In reply to brokenangel [2005-06-27 10:48:08 +0000 UTC]

*sniggers*
I thought it was Vicky but I was living in hope it was Jessi - she's actually really pretty if time is taken to morph her. Not that I've managed to use her yet. Keep promising myself that I will. Keep promising myself many things that never happen.

brokenangel In reply to soullessflyer [2005-06-30 15:56:06 +0000 UTC]

no worries, I plan on using Jessi too, I've gotten a very nice ponytail for her *g*

Ohhh, and I so hear ya on that last sentence!

soullessflyer In reply to brokenangel [2005-06-30 16:36:24 +0000 UTC]

I'll bet you do something with Jessi 'fore I do.
I keep promising myself that I'll keep my promises, but I always seem to get distracted and forget.

I have too damn many ideas, not enough time and certainly not enough computers to do it all at once *L*
So you never know when I finally get down to work with Jessi

soullessflyer In reply to brokenangel [2005-07-31 15:21:22 +0000 UTC]

Well I have 5 'pooters, so can't use that as an excuse, right now though I@m beginning to focus on one huge idea - a graphic novel, part of a possbile business venture I'm looking into.

brokenangel In reply to soullessflyer [2005-08-03 06:56:49 +0000 UTC]

5?! I'd die for just one more *L*

What would that graphcs novel be about?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

soullessflyer In reply to brokenangel [2005-08-03 10:56:12 +0000 UTC]

*nods* between two I built myself, my original old PII system and two older ones that have been given to me I've got a nice collection. I'm still trying to work out what to do with them all, I've got one running Win2K3 Enterprise as my server (yeap I'm a bit of a tech head) and I'm trying to bring the other online and figure out what I'm gonna do with them too.

The graphic novel...erm, how long have you got?! I did a series of three pics here, that'd be three of the main characters, it's very much a Sci-Fi story quite cyber, but bringing in genetics and genetic engineering as well - I spent 7 years at uni studying Human biology, particularly genetics, never thought I'd use that knowledge for this kind of thing. Mind you I always thought I was going to be a scientist, not a skilled (and becoming more skillful) unemployed wanna-be Network Engineer.

Life's a strange beast.
