I was watching a good friend of mine playing Oblivion, and when he gave a coin to a beggar, the beggar's voice just like, changed into a completely different tone. Is startled the hell out of me, and I contemplated how I should make a comic about that. So here it is, in it's simplistic, "Glory". i got that with simplicia the slow... she started in a cackle-cackle voice : "you seem like a kind lady"... then after i persuaded her, the gray fox option started glowing again, and she talked normally "are you looking for him?" (in a normal voice along with all the explanation on where to find the guy), then she went back to her cackle-cackle voice "blessings of akatosh upon ye", i was like, what just happened?

I noticed that! You'd go up to an old woman. "A coin ta feed me children..." she says in a weak voice. You fork over some gold. Suddenly she sounds half her age.
So I've figured it out. Coins give them power. They're not spending the coins, they're absorbing them.

I think it's a bug, it happens oftenly to all NPCs, I remember a vid on YT of Jaufree talking in a n orcs voice, simple explaination is that every voice said as many words as possible during recording and in game they get put together, only sometimes the game chooses the wrong voice.

That always pissed me off. Especially when you have one of the old ladies ask you for gold in the beggar voice, then use the default Imperial voice when you ask for certain information.
Bethesda Softworks totally released their Oblivion Construction Set so people could fix up their fuck ups. Lazy bastards.
